VMS/PEM key mismatch

Hi together

What is the reason for the Error message:
VMS/PEM key mismatch
ID:888

If you press the middle button of the key it goes away...but it occurs now & then and I would loke to know the source problem of this and if it is solvable?

Maybe time to replace the battery in the key?

If you haven't turned the key within 60 seconds after disarming the alarm, you will get this alarm when you turn the key. It's the immobilizer in euro cars.

Many thanks. So the car is telling me I'm getting to old? ;-) or should get some yoga classes to put the Roadster on quicker?
