Warming up

So things are warming up in the UK, finally. I noticed the M3 dash temp is between 3-4 deg C higher than the actual outside temp. Aircon needs to be at least 4 deg higher than the outside temp or the car is freezing. Is there any way to calibrate this?

Don’t worry about the numbers on the screen. Set it till you’re comfortable and roll with it. I had a similar thawing on a previous inshitnia (insignia) and may as well have set the temperature to W or G as the numbers had zero correlation to the actual temperature.

Because metal cars absorb heat?

Weather stations record heat in the shade enclosed in housing that won’t absorb heat, often fan ventilated even.
