How do you like this gem, "Due to his outstanding performance as head of the paint shop in Fremont, Richard Miller is now promoted to the position of overall manager of Fremont production". This is from an email that went out to Tesla employees per the linked article. This is kind of old news but I'm surprised I haven't heard more about it. I definitely could have missed something but curious others' opinions on this.

You want cynical answers or opinions, LoL. But before those, apparently, that paint shop was and still is very notorious for being bad. This is an issue since before Tesla took over the plant, so, there's that to keep in mind. My 2 takes, Promotion could be either be for good job for trying your best on a shitty assignment and getting stuff out for the company or the classic, we can fire you easily so let's promote you out to get someone else in to fix. LOL

like the other guys say, its probably flash rust and just needs to be repainted in that area. I've got a lot of small things wrong with the fitment and cosmetic stuff here and there. Nothing major. Overall, i'm happy with the car though.
