What’s the best carbon fiber interior conversion kit?

Drove a 2022 Model S yesterday LR that had carbon fiber on yoke and trim. It has texture on it too. Maybe it was a wrap? I see they sell that on Amazon. It was better than wood. What are my options to swap out the wood for CF?

I’ve done it on a first gen Model S, but what is the processes like on the refresh to remove the trim?

I guess I’m in the minority and would rather have wood trim vs carbon fiber, but Im not sure I care enough to tear my car apart.

Most of the trim is easy to pry off except the center console. That one must be a PITA to replace.

The center console is what scares me. Certainly not worth the work/risk. Too bad, I’ve always preferred the wood trim (with the right finish).

You can always do carbon fiber overlays on any trim in any color with a bunch of different weave styles. Regular 2x2, Kevlar, reflex, honeycomb, forged etc. More than 10 different styles that each make every color unique. The possibilities are basically endless.

Getting the dealership to replace wood with OEM carbon fiber next week. Not bad at all as far as price. $1010 installed with tax. The wrap never looked quite right, as the for didn’t cover every little area. Plus you will always know it’s just a wrap. The real thing much better.

So how did you do this? My local showroom, where I bought my 2023 Model S LR about a month ago, says they can perform service I order through the Tesla app, and a carbon fiber interior retrofit is not listed. They say they can’t order the parts even if I supply the part numbers.

called my service center and spoke to a person, they looked up the parts and ordered them. I went to have them installed yesterday and they didnt order the dash piece, so they had to reorder that part.

Did they replace your center console? Or just replace the decors on it? If only the decor make sure they didn’t mess up the function to your sliding door and inner trays cause that thing is hard to disassemble.
