What is happening in Germany?

Tesla only sold 200 cars in the first five months of this year, compared to more than 972 in the same time last year. -37%!

Any reasonable explanation?

Tesla can't make them fast enough?
Germans want to wait for Merc and Porsche and Audi ? even VW eGolf ?

It is about the first five months so all of 2018 to date...

Here are the correct numbers:

New Tesla registrations:
May 2018: 200
Jan to May 2018: 972

May 2017: 322
Jan to May 2017: 1542
Jan to Dec 2017: 3332

Digging up this old thread... I'm going to be in Stuttgart for a few weeks, interested to see how Tesla has been doing out there since this original posting, in Germany in general and also specifically in the Stuttgart area. It seems the city is kind of an Auto capital w Mercedes and Porsche based there (ea w museums too), curious to see how Tesla sales and presence is doing in that environment.
