I don't have an EV but will at some point; meanwhile my kid has a Volt and significant other has a Model 3. As part of an electric upgrade I had a pair of Wall Connectors installed. The setup card shows WiFi, so yeah, what is that for? In my situation do I need to care? Grazie!
Its not mandatory you keep it connected to wifi though, if you already commissioned it properly and are not interested in it getting firmware updates or the charge data.
