What is this terrible grinding HVAC sound?

I have recently started to notice a terrible grinding sound that I can hear very well from my front passenger wheel. I have noticed the sound can be produced on the following conditions.

1. Car is on, Climate/HVAC is On
2. After sitting with car on, and climate on for about ~10 minutes without moving is when the sound starts.

The sound will not happen when:

1. Car is on, climate/HVAC is off
2. Car is off
3. Car is driving and climate/HVAC is on

My X has been to the SC about 9 times. I hate bugging them, mostly because they are two hours away and go out of their way to take care of the vehicle, but this very much concerns me. I just got the vehicle back two weeks ago.

Any ideas? Anyone had this before? Maybe something a ranger can assist with?

It's likely that your A/C lines are crossed. It's a known issue, and your service center should have a bulletin about it.
