hello all. I plan to window tint my new white exterior model 3 . But I wonder what tinting percentage would look the best for driver and passenger side window?

Also, what tinting percentage would you guys recommend for rear and roof window? Or is it best not to tint rear and roof window?

Thank you for the feeback

I have 30% All sides Front and Rear. 15% on the whole back glass (recommended so it blends in as it goes on the roof) Turned out really really nice. The film is Rayno Ceramic S9 Film. I can see still see perfectly at night too in case you were wondering.

I have a combination of 3M and Llumar tint (what my trusted shop uses) 20% ceramic on sides and half of the rear glass (line is visible from inside, but not visible from outside) and 70% crystalline on the front windshield. The tint % is a preference, but you should consider heat rejection more than tint %. It helped energy consumption in the summer and made the cabin more comfortable.

Could you please take a pic of the rear window tint from the inside?

Curious how the tint film line looks from our POV.

Sure - see attachments. With the 20% tint I was wanting, the rear upper glass would have been way too dark, so I opted for the cut off since my kids love the view. From the driver’s perspective, I don’t see the line since it is above the rear view mirror cutoff, so I took some photos looking straight back at it.

My coworker has his entire rear glass tinted and also tinted the glass above driver and front passenger - he opted for 35% tint and it was dark, so it helped my decision especially wanting 20%.

Woah. That look good as it blend with the roof. but do you have trouble seeing the rear view at night as 15% tint?

Not at all. IMO. My goal was to keep the “openness” feel of the car and the 15% at night for the back window is not dark at all.i tried to get a pic but it’s not the best representation. I even have a broad view mirror with a blue tint to it and I can see perfectly fine. I guess it’s just the ceramic film that doesn’t make it seem so dark compared to regular non-ceramic, carbon films.
