When to apply for the loan based on delayed delivery times?

I'm confused on the timing of applying for a loan if the rate/terms expire in 30 days and the delivery dates keep being pushed out?

Will I get assigned a VIN + Delivery date if I don't complete the financing? When would be the right time to apply for a loan?

correct, that's what many members have done. There are a few threads that detail out the step by step process.

I was told by Tesla support to select cash for now. When a vin is assigned call and have them change it to financing and either apply, or seek an outside loan.

Until you sign on the dotted line, nothing is set in stone.

Select cash. When you have a vin assigned in 5-6 months, call Tesla and have them change you to financing and then apply at that time.

I would recommend waiting for your VIN to be assigned. PENFED credit union is offering a 1.99% interest rate.
