Where do you find the details of updates installed?

After the updates are installed, there is a screen in the X which tells you the details of that update. But if you don't have time to read at that time, where do you find the details later on?

Also, how do you access the internet in X?

Hit the “T” at top or if u have 12.1 there us new section for software can read there as well

When you have time, you can click on the "T" as mentioned by @P85_DA which should give you a screen below then you just click on "Release Notes":

There's a browser in your X if that's what you mean to access the internet.
