I have a new 2014 MYLR and really miss the Homelink feature. I have two gates and a garage door so the MyQ is a pain to adapt to. But there are threads that indicate that Tesla is making to difficult/impossible to retrofit Homelink to the new MYs.
So, I decide to test the Homelink module from my 2018 M3LR in the MY. I watched all the YouTube videos showing the difficult-to-install bracket and such. But when I opened up the M3LR, it didn't look anything like that. I found a capped plug that looked like the Homelink connector (picture 1) But I couldn't find a module and bracket that looked like the ones in the YT videos. I did find a funny module under the frunk locking mechanism. (picture 2) Is that it?
