I recently moved the Homelink module from my 2020 Y and installed it in my new 2023 Y. There are plenty of videos that go over the process and they explained all the steps but there were 2 things that were not mentioned that would have saved me time.
1. When I removed the Homelink I had a hard time getting a socket to fit over the bolt that holds the module bracket. It is fastened from behind the bracket and not easy to see. It ended up being a Torx Plus EP10. It is not a common bolt type and I had to purchase the special socket. Picture attached.
2. During the reinstall, all the software steps worked but the Homelink Icon did not appear on the screen. I rebooted twice and still no Icon but after I backed the car out of the garage and went into park, the Icon appeared and I could continue to add my openers.
