After reading and researching for a couple of years, I finally pulled the trigger on a white inventory Model S that was delivered earlier this month. The Autopilot upgrade finally pushed me over the edge. A couple days after delivery, I demonstrated it to my 9th grade Physics/Chemistry class at the small independent school I founded in 2002. We discussed the battery technology, the way electric motors differ from ICE cars, etc. (we had spent the prior week discussing the carbon cycle and the linkage between carbon dioxide and temperature increases). The highlight of the day was a zero-to-30mph acceleration with 3-4 students in the car. They will remember that for awhile!
