YES that is true, it happened to me, and wow was I in a panic, as there was a car directly behind me.

So I have gone 3 times now and no issues. The wash I go to has brushes.

No problems once I learned to turn off my wipers and how to quickly get into N. The biggest problem I still have is getting back into D at the end. You have to hit the brake to do this, it seems, which is a bit of a pain when you're rolling off the rails.

I tend to mostly avoid car washes... If you do go to one, at least make sure they use Reverse Osmosis.... Otherwise, no matter how many times they filter the water, it will contain dissolved minerals and salts... Most places that use Reverse Osmosis, will advertise that they use it.
