Why can’t I turn HVAC system OFF?

According to the manual, pressing the power button turns the HVAC off. When I press the OFF button it does not gray out, the whole HVAC screen drops down. If I bring it up again the power button is still blue. Isn’t there a way to turn the system off?
I ask b/c the system is acting strangely and I thought if I cycled it off then back on it would reset. On the way home last night it didn’t keep the cabin as warm as I thought it should. I was messing with the controls and discovered I couldn’t turn it off. I rebooted the computer this morning with two button and brake and had the same result.

It has always worked for me, are you by accident turning it back on by hitting the temp # to open the larger display?

Hold the fan icon for a few seconds until it flashes and is grayed out. Note that touching the fan icon again turns the HVAC back on. I think that’s your issue: when you open the climate drawer to check if HVAC is off, it turns the climate back on.

Seems to working ok now but this is not the first time it’s acted up.
