Why don't we do this in North America?

I used to have an R170 SLK, and always admired how Europeans have a great time going out on extended week end trips with their cars and get to know each other.

There are a lot of Tesla's on the road in the Vancouver area, and there are a lot of wonderful places to meet and great fellow Tesla owners for the day.

1. Day trip to Whistler BC.+ lunch.
2. Overnight trip to Butchart Gardens, on Vancouver Island.
3. Day trip to Hope BC, + lunch at Molly's, also has Supercharger Station if required.
4. Overnight trip to Kelowna, + wine sampling, from local vineyards.

Check the TMC Events section where clubs will sometimes post road trips. Gotta check this forum section out! You all meet up somewhere with your Teslas (usually a charging location) take off through a planned route to a destination en masse and usually have a meal there and get to meet other Tesla owners and then depart on your way. Lots of fun.

We attended one that gathered all of us at the Kettleman's City Superchargers in California as a starting point (40 superchargers and had recently opened). Spent time socializing, had a light breakfast, explored the lounge, enjoying seeing each others cars, and even a few new Model 3 owners gave others the opportunity to test drive their car (they weren't available in the Tesla stores for a test drive yet). People charged there and then the majority of us that could drove up to a restaurant for a lunch together. We took the opportunity to head out a few days before the meetup to stay elsewhere near the coast to make a little extended weekend vacation out of it. Other trips have been planned as a group at a hotel over a weekend with activities and driving.

There seems to be a problem with the Tesla Clubs on the forum right now but otherwise a good place to check for events and local things that aren't always listed in the Events section. There's a Canadian section there too. Wonder if the section is under maintenance or being redone.
