I think that's mostly wishful thinking.

Tesla's had deep inventory discounts for at least three consecutive quarters now, and the great majority of cars are being sold at that discount. It's an open secret at this point. The market knows what the cars go for new and the effect on used values is typically not far behind.

It still is. The entire auto industry and economy is slowing along with it.
