Windshield Washer Fluid Dispense Pattern?

When I first got my car, it seemed like the windshield washer fluid simply deployed directly onto the wiper blades, then the blades carried it across the windshield. In recent weeks, the fluid now sprays pretty aggressively onto the windshield prior to wiping (well outside the blade wipe area), followed by the blades cleaning. Which is normal? Ha.

Mine still dribbles the fluid onto the blades and then the blades spread it around the windshield.

Normal is directly along blades. Check if your spray nozzle is clean. The manual states it can get obstructed.

don't care how this works so long as it clean my windshield. and at the moment, it is. haha
