Yep. I did exactly that. But you might want to hold off a little. Something new/different might be coming and the retrofit to that might be different.


But if you still want the original EU-style tail lights:

You'll need two really long wires to run from each side repeater, through the frunk, through the firewall, through the cabin, then to the trunk.

Don't cheap out on the resistor. If you're stopped at an intersection, this resistor will need to dissipate all that power, because we need to trick the car that the brake lights are still working.

I followed this using all the same parts, but mine hyper-flash even though they do work using this method. Any suggestions? Maybe it's because I'm using the Hansshow tail lights instead of the OEM ones? I didn't want my turn signal light to turn on solid at the same time as my brake light, which is an issue while using the Hansshow.

Is your car 2021-2023? AdamMacDon's car is 2019 so the software configuration for lights might be different.
