Just also spotted, that tesla have taken the lease payment from my account this morning - but 2 days earlier than normal. Its always been the 15th previously.

Yep I got the same! My normal Payment is due in 5 days.... Wish it was only £1! Come on here to see if others had the same email and bingo! I can now sleep well knowing my Tesla isn't gonna get towed away in the morning for a failed payment

They don’t tow them away. They just activate FSD and it drives itself back

UK M3 Owner here. I got an email too saying my Loan payment of £1.00 had failed - Which is strange because it's not due for another week. but as many have said - I wish it was £1.00 - haha! Glad everyone is also having the same email though it has put my mind at ease!

I had this email this morning. I paid my monthly DD on the 8th, then got this for £1. Must be a glitch of some sort.

well dunno... in some cases it takes before, in some after - should read your contract.

I received this from Tesla support, looks to be a system issue their end.

“Please kindly ignore the email. While it did come from Tesla and is not a scam, this shouldn't have been sent. Tesla erroneously posted 1 GBP to your account yesterday and when the amount was removed again, this action caused the automated email to get triggered.

You do not owe us 1 GBP and should not wire the amount to the account mentioned in the email”

maybe they should send out an email to people to, you know, let them know and not worry or do what was asked.

It probably cost them more than the £1 they lost per account to sort it. Not everywhere in Tesla thinks out of the box.

Indeed.. I phoned Tesla today and got the same explanation. I was told to ignore it and it a debit and credit appeared in my bank statement to ignore that as well.

I phoned up Tesla and asked them about the £1 failed payment. I was told, "sent in error, please ignore."

Found the same email just now received 2 days ago in the promotions folder, so didn’t see it. My monthly payment went out earlier in the month. Coincidentally i got an email from ev.energy same day saying they’d experienced an outage between Tesla authenticator tokens and their platform. Perhaps Tesla had some wider internal issues that day.
