I'm beginning to think that the .8 branch (for those with ultrasonic sensors) will need a different version. Nope, I love my sensors and was lucky enough to have those on the car when it arrived in Feb of 2023.

I traded in my FSD-enabled (and paid for) 2017 MX for a new 2023 MX in February. Now I hear they're transferring the FSD to new vehicles. Does this apply to my purchase? To whom do I ask (officially)?

I found the issue. Overheating diodes (I only had three in series) opened the connection. I built a new 3x3 array that seems to work better.

I wired nine silicon diodes in series (3 sets of 3) to drop the voltage. It measured 15.1 and I got it down to about 14.1. Yaesu said that 14.1 was fine--15.1 was not. The root cause of the failure was the diode assembly overheated and opened the connection.
