I think it can really depend on the specific car, some inventory listings are for vehicles still on a boat (in the past this was indicated by the more generic locations, rather than specific delivery locations) so can still be couple of weeks or so before the car is even in the country.

basically, someone stumbled across an unprotected teslamate instance, and then (probably via shodan) found more, and as we know, any headline with "Tesla" gets attention, he also made some (in my opinion) pretty wild claims at the time... i'm no expert, but pretty sure you can't control the...
