    Rolec EV Wallpod

No noise I can think of apart from the initial clunk as mentioned in a previous post. In regards to reliability, I had mine installed in Sep last year and had been working fine up until a month or so ago. Had it repaired a few weeks back as the rcbo kept tripping, worked ok for a week or so...

New Octopus Go tariff and off peak options?

I think you'll be fine, I'm aware of someone else doing it retrospectively.

    Does anyone wave anymore?

I've done roughly 1000 miles in my M3 and never had a wave so I'm guessing it's not a thing.

    Rolec rcbo Tripping

Evening, Just to provide an update, engineer visited and fitted a new mode 3 controller. All working up till last night until same problem occurred, now waiting on next steps. In the meantime, I'm charging using the 3 pin but having issues. The charging seems to start fine but randomly...

New Octopus Go tariff and off peak options?

Unfortunately it's not something they do. We had a faulty E7 meter (peak & off peak wrong way round) and the best advice they would give me was to switch services to one of the top 6. Instead I switched to Octopus and am now benefiting from 5 hours @ 0.055p so only 2 hours shy of what I had...

    Bubbling headrest

Funnily enough I was thinking about this on a drive home (was a very boring journey). For me, it's uncomfortable to rest my head on it as it involves arching my neck back and without being able to adjust the head rest (correct me if I'm wrong and you can) it must just be protection in an...

    Rolec rcbo Tripping

Update. My installer has contacted Rolec who have advised that it's more than likely the mode 3 controller that has failed - new part has been ordered and I should have an engineer out on Tuesday afternoon.

    Scheduled charging restricted to 16A

That's potentially great news! I just need a working charger to try myself but something to look forward to!

    Rolec rcbo Tripping

Unsure why but I was hopeful that on returning home all would be well, I was mistaken. The RCBO won't even reset now without switching off at the consumer unit but as soon as I switch back on it trips..definitely isn't a happy bunny. When damp is mentioned, is this damp in the RCBO or the...

    Rolec rcbo Tripping

Thanks for the feedback, is appreciated. I'll wait on the installer coming back to me and in the meantime use the UMC with a 13A socket and see how I get on. EDIT: It just occurred to me that at one point the RCBO tripped and the car wasn't even plugged in - guess that rules out the car being...

New Octopus Go tariff and off peak options?

Hi Seadog, welcome :) That's correct, it's the gen 2 meters (SMETS2) which allow switching between suppliers easier so you shouldn't have any trouble. Make sure you use a referral prior to switching as you'll get £50 (and the person whose referral you use). If you haven't got one already, let...

    Rolec rcbo Tripping

Afternoon, Plugged in the car to charge last night and realised that I had no power to the charger, turns out the rcbo had tripped. Reset and let it charge for 5 minutes and then manually stopped to allow the schedule to run overnight. Woke up this morning to find no charge and the rcbo had...

    Air Source Heat Pump

You're right, that is crazy! When I initially spoke to the guys fitting the charger they said themselves that more often than not it's done foc but I wasn't so lucky.

    Air Source Heat Pump

This is certainly something I'm looking into and recently been up in the loft to put down more insulation (300mm now). I've also had a new EPC done so I can then focus on other areas but with it being a 1900s build I think it's going to be something that is tackled over time.
