Based off the VIN it would seem like a very late 2016 build. I have an S that I took delivery of in Dec and it was also in the 174xxx range also

I've checked a few more Model S and X 75 kWh and the 5B pack roughly starts around the mid 192XX VIN range from what I saw

Update to the thread: It appears new Model X non-performance cars are now being delivered with these brakes. Just saw a brand new 90D X with the new design. It was on the 20" standard wheels as well.

I have no inside information, I am just speaking about the current Tesla line up. They could very well change the Performance rear brakes with these at some point but that is not their current intent from what I have heard

They are however these new rear brake caliper units are for the non performance cars only. Performance cars still get the big red ones on the front and back :)

The original design is inherently a higher performance unit, but it is important to remember how little force the rear brakes normally contribute to slowing the car. If this change was made in the front it would matter. I think they may only be keeping them on performance cars for looks. The...
