    Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS)

Picked up our Tesla YLR on 24 August 2022. On 16 January 2023, after 6,000 miles, I rotated the tires and reset the tire pressure display to reflect the correct positions. Surprisingly easy. On 3 July 2023, after 14,396 miles, I rotated again. This time, I can't find the tire location reset...

Will Tesla Buildup Superchargers to Accommodate Anticipated Demand from Ford, GM, Rivian, and whoever else, Adopting NACS circa 2024/2025?

Just voted Optimistic with normal build out. Just got back from a 5,121 mile road trip crossing 11 states. Lots of miles on interstate highways, state roads, rural back roads, just about every kind of road imaginable. Absolutely no issues charging. Never any "hypermiling" or "range anxiety"...

    Tesla service experience in USA

Would like to point that my service experience has just gotten even better. For all of my 55 years of driving, I have always enjoyed doing my own service work. I can't stand being dependent. For ever car I have owned, I have bought the factory service manual. I have even performed many repairs...

    Tesla service experience in USA

Throughout my life I have learned that the quality of service from any sort of service center is dependent on the employees you are dealing with. My experience with Tesla service centers has been excellent. They have gone above and beyond with each visit. They listen and actually seem to care...

    This is driving me crazy!

That's it!!! Thank you so much. Best commercial for anything I have seen in years! I now see that I was wrong about it being an X, but still... beyond awesome commercial! Thanks!

    This is driving me crazy!

About a week ago, I ran across a Tesla ad that I think was produced by the owner, but can't be sure. It was very well done. The ad showed the driver of a model X running errands and loading stuff from different stores; put in a ladder and some boxes from a home improvement store. Then a drive...

Tesla’s Model Y SUV is being investigated for steering wheels that can fall off

I'm not imagining anything. I'm just referring to the "loosening" of the nut as suspected in this thread. Realistically, I do not imagine any nut or bolt loosening on a steering wheel. Never witnessed anything like that or can "imagine" how it would occur. As I have mentioned, the steering...

Tesla’s Model Y SUV is being investigated for steering wheels that can fall off

What needs to be understood is that the steering wheel mounts on a keyed shaft. The nut only keeps the wheel engaged on the shaft. If the nut loosens it will not make the wheel wobbly or not steer the car. If the nut comes completely loose the wheel will only slide off the shaft if pulled. If it...

2023 Model Y Long Range Disappointment in boominess after Demo Drive

Are you referring to my post regarding my hearing aid? If so, then both. Some were ICE cars, some were plugable hybrid with a substantial electric only range. In each one, the issue was with air flow. Our model Y is the only car I have had, withing the last decade, that I could tolerate...

Opinion: Tesla should partner with another OEM for NACS or be forced into CCS someday.

Indeed! I may be mistaken. I haven't actually measured it, but it looks a lot smaller than any of the other EVs charge port doors with CCS.

Opinion: Tesla should partner with another OEM for NACS or be forced into CCS someday.

Since this post is labeled as Opinion, I guess I will share my opinion. As a retired electronics design engineer who worked on the early development of charging stations, I am disappointed with how the "standard" has developed. At the time of early development, I was irritated with the...

2023 Model Y Long Range Disappointment in boominess after Demo Drive

Very interesting thread. I have a hearing birth defect and wear a custom hearing aid. It has to be custom because my hearing issue is not common hearing loss, thus no commercial hearing aids are available that work for me. In any event, it's frequency response extends deep into the infrasound...

    Hard Stop

When we first got our Y, it did all the common complained about phantom braking and over reactive etc., but that seems to have gone away. I now use cruse control and auto steer almost all the time now and it hasn't phantom braked in several months. Also braking due to cross traffic and abrupt...

    Hard Stop

On our drive from Houston to Austin we were peacefully cruising along US 290. I was driving and using SD at about 70 mph. Suddenly an SUV darted directly across our path from a side street. Equally suddenly, our Tesla Y slammed on the brakes. It was a few milliseconds faster than me. My foot...
