Thanks, IdaX, Acarney, and Ladiesbff!
Should be a lot less stressful, and warmer, trip back!
Wouldn’t need it if the weather wasn’t so bad, but low temp, lights, wipers, heater and speed take their toll.
So I skipped it today encountered from SEATTLE to Spokane based on the Tesla information that it was out of service. Bad weather required me to to drive 55-60 in a 70 with no heat to make Spokane with 4%.
For the return trip, I’ll try it, but does anyone have current info? Thanks!
It would help a lot to able to “pin” an app so it isn’t necessary to reopen it each time you get into the car.
Personally, I always want the web browser open to the TeslaWaze site.
I also have an S85D and a second day one Model 3 reservation-the first reservation bought my wife’s RWD 3 in January.
When I made the reservation, I was hedging for the same reasons you outlined-new tech, warranty, shiny, not much out of pocket cost when trading the S.
But after driving our 3...
I stopped by a week ago when I was in the area to see the P3 and was talked into a test drive. I resisted as best I could, but they wore me down.
I liked it, but not enough to give up my S85D.
Sounds frustrating.
I thought they discontinued the “anti selling” of the Model 3:)
The folks at the Westlake location are very accommodating, particularly Genny.
(Off topic, sorry, but doesn’t yet deserve its own thread IMO)
I use percentage but would rather see both at the same time. Any elegant ideas on how they could display both without clutter?
I’m having similar issues with my 85D. I’m curious if anyone having these issues also uses the Tesla Waze website, as I do? I’m wondering if its resource needs may have started to have some effect when using Tesla’s browser and first gen display hardware.
Glad to hear it, thanks for the update! I’m having trouble seeing the pics, but I take your word for it being underway.
Always liked doing a loop on the 20, the 97 and the 2. This will help.
One of the best things, amoung many, with Eric’s Waze data implementation for our browser is the lack of extraneous clutter displayed. That “clutter” of ads is how Google/Waze makes money. I suspect they won’t be interested in helping their crowd-sourced data be used without being paid in some way.
