Anyone want to take a stab at diagnosis? Screens blank, no blinkers, no high beams, but "all else" works...

No. As far as the app is concerned the car is not reachable.

Anyone want to take a stab at diagnosis? Screens blank, no blinkers, no high beams, but "all else" works...

Indeed, blank screen, presumably dead screen. I say presumably because I did "test" to see if maybe it just lost backlighting (had that happen to a computer recently). I tapped all around the bottom left corner to see if anything would change with the AC, but I got nothing. I did read about...

Unfortunately reboot doesn't seem to do anything, either with the scroll wheel or the top selector buttons. Service is scheduled.

Re: power off reset - is that rebooting with the scroll wheel buttons and/or top selector buttons on the steering wheel? If so, I've tried that with still no signs of life after about 2 minutes.

[Edit: 2017 Model S, FSD and upgraded to MCU2, HW3.0, and the newer cameras] Things that DO work: car runs and drivers, door handles, frunk and trunk open with key fob, interior lights, windows, seat motors (manual only) Things that stopped working suddenly: screens (center and dash) and...

Web browsing faster after update. Why?

Any idea why my browser (MCU2 upgrade, love it) is so much faster after software update, and if there’s a reason is there a way to force that? I know that’s a poorly worded question, but I’ve noticed that as I use the browser (which I do use to control home automation lights, gate, garage, it’s...

Tesla Model S Center Console Insert by shaefer Made this. Not at all up to very high quality spec, but its a great starting point and does fit the center console.

New new FSD possible on AP2 cameras and radars?

Indeed, so remains my confusion. There is some thread of posts (generally) that seem to say that the older radar and older cameras (basically AP2) cant accomplish pedestrian warning and traffic light awareness, but as far as I know my vehicle is originally AP2 and yet it can do both. I do...

New new FSD possible on AP2 cameras and radars?

Originally AP2 vehicle w “FSD” option from the factory (from a time of confusing ap versions and upgrades etc). Eligible for and received the free HW3 upgrade (red lights, pedestrians, etc), MCU2 happening next week. So, what’s the word on whether future “new new” FSD will be functional on cars...

    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

Select preset Drivers Seat profiles from the app!!! I have to put car seats in my back seat and so I set up a profile that moves the front seat out of the way to make room. Problem is, I have to reach inside to select it. If we could select profiles from the phone I could move the drivers...

Stuck trunk latch (black plug “fix” not working)

I know this is the same sort of issue that’s been posted here a bunch, and I’ve watched a video about removing the carpet and panel in the back, plugging and unplugging the black plug to make the liftgate open. When I remove and replace the plug there is the click of a small relay energizing...

Who sees street cones in their AP display?

Thank you team! Surprised how hard that was to find online

Who sees street cones in their AP display?

Very late 2016 FSD, MCU1 but with the HW 3.0 upgrade. I’ve got traffic lights, but it would seem that traffic cones have eluded me. Is this a camera limitation? My car is FSD, has the side pillar cameras and the rear facing fender cams...if they matters. Looks like I’m on 2020.36.

Cannot access HomeLink while in Reverse

MCU 1 also. Scrolling...we'll see. Hopefully the Tesla angels will bestow an update on me soon and this can be a thing of the past.

Cannot access HomeLink while in Reverse

The drop down list of buttons goes back after a few seconds. At least that was my experience. Obviously, unless they make it an option, there isn't really a way to have it all ways for all people. For me it's a pain because I have to go out of a garage and a gate. It's fine for automatically...
