Anyone want to take a stab at diagnosis? Screens blank, no blinkers, no high beams, but "all else" works...

No. As far as the app is concerned the car is not reachable.

Anyone want to take a stab at diagnosis? Screens blank, no blinkers, no high beams, but "all else" works...

Indeed, blank screen, presumably dead screen. I say presumably because I did "test" to see if maybe it just lost backlighting (had that happen to a computer recently). I tapped all around the bottom left corner to see if anything would change with the AC, but I got nothing. I did read about...

Anyone want to take a stab at diagnosis? Screens blank, no blinkers, no high beams, but "all else" works...

Unfortunately reboot doesn't seem to do anything, either with the scroll wheel or the top selector buttons. Service is scheduled.

Anyone want to take a stab at diagnosis? Screens blank, no blinkers, no high beams, but "all else" works...

Re: power off reset - is that rebooting with the scroll wheel buttons and/or top selector buttons on the steering wheel? If so, I've tried that with still no signs of life after about 2 minutes.

Anyone want to take a stab at diagnosis? Screens blank, no blinkers, no high beams, but "all else" works...

[Edit: 2017 Model S, FSD and upgraded to MCU2, HW3.0, and the newer cameras] Things that DO work: car runs and drivers, door handles, frunk and trunk open with key fob, interior lights, windows, seat motors (manual only) Things that stopped working suddenly: screens (center and dash) and...

Web browsing faster after update. Why?

Any idea why my browser (MCU2 upgrade, love it) is so much faster after software update, and if there’s a reason is there a way to force that? I know that’s a poorly worded question, but I’ve noticed that as I use the browser (which I do use to control home automation lights, gate, garage, it’s...

Tesla Model S Center Console Insert by shaefer Made this. Not at all up to very high quality spec, but its a great starting point and does fit the center console.

New new FSD possible on AP2 cameras and radars?

Indeed, so remains my confusion. There is some thread of posts (generally) that seem to say that the older radar and older cameras (basically AP2) cant accomplish pedestrian warning and traffic light awareness, but as far as I know my vehicle is originally AP2 and yet it can do both. I do...

New new FSD possible on AP2 cameras and radars?

Originally AP2 vehicle w “FSD” option from the factory (from a time of confusing ap versions and upgrades etc). Eligible for and received the free HW3 upgrade (red lights, pedestrians, etc), MCU2 happening next week. So, what’s the word on whether future “new new” FSD will be functional on cars...

    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

Select preset Drivers Seat profiles from the app!!! I have to put car seats in my back seat and so I set up a profile that moves the front seat out of the way to make room. Problem is, I have to reach inside to select it. If we could select profiles from the phone I could move the drivers...

Stuck trunk latch (black plug “fix” not working)

I know this is the same sort of issue that’s been posted here a bunch, and I’ve watched a video about removing the carpet and panel in the back, plugging and unplugging the black plug to make the liftgate open. When I remove and replace the plug there is the click of a small relay energizing...

Who sees street cones in their AP display?

Thank you team! Surprised how hard that was to find online

Who sees street cones in their AP display?

Very late 2016 FSD, MCU1 but with the HW 3.0 upgrade. I’ve got traffic lights, but it would seem that traffic cones have eluded me. Is this a camera limitation? My car is FSD, has the side pillar cameras and the rear facing fender cams...if they matters. Looks like I’m on 2020.36.

Cannot access HomeLink while in Reverse

MCU 1 also. Scrolling...we'll see. Hopefully the Tesla angels will bestow an update on me soon and this can be a thing of the past.

Cannot access HomeLink while in Reverse

The drop down list of buttons goes back after a few seconds. At least that was my experience. Obviously, unless they make it an option, there isn't really a way to have it all ways for all people. For me it's a pain because I have to go out of a garage and a gate. It's fine for automatically...

Cannot access HomeLink while in Reverse

Per chance, do you know which version that is? I did get a recent update but it may not be the most recent. Thanks for the input!

Cannot access HomeLink while in Reverse

I should add that I can obviously close out of the screen to access homelink, but then I have to open it back up to see my backup screen and parking sensors. I have to go out of a garage and gate, so it's kind of a pain.

Cannot access HomeLink while in Reverse

So, specifically what I mean is that while the backup camera is displayed with the parking sensors (I guess that's the "default" back up view), the camera display now covers the HomeLink buttons. Picture shows what I see when I put it in Reverse. It hasn't always been this way, has it? I...

HW 3.0 Upgrade from 2.0 - very very pleased

Just the HW. Still on MCU 1 though I am considering the upgrade now to essentially bring the car to a much newer spec. I haven't fully researched everything else yet to see if an MCU upgrade would actually produce that result.

    Honestly, I'm not sure.

HW 3.0 Upgrade from 2.0 - very very pleased

Just wanted to pop in to say that if you have not received the 3.0 upgrade yet, it's worth the wait. Dash Cam and Sentry Mode downloads are fun gadgets to have, but the real win comes with the traffic signal awareness. So incredible. Today, driving along on AP, tapped the accelerator to go...

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

AND WE'RE SOLVED! Jonathan got copies of my window sticker and my sales agreement and got it all turned on to FSD. A+ for Tesla customer service. Someone on here early on reached out and advised I contact my sales rep. Turns out that was exactly the solution. The irony - I was scheduled to...

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

It's a late 2016 build 75D, HW2.0. It was sold to me as having FSD. It was confirmed at delivery as having FSD. And it does have NOA. I use it fairly regularly.

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

EDIT: Learned from a below comment that this is something that was previously announced. That's on me, I don't follow Twitter that much. That said....the offer calls it Full Self Driving Capability...which is what is on my sales agreement! ORIGINAL TEXT (leaving this up instead of deleting...

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

Spoke with Customer Support first yesterday around noon. They confirmed what I basically already knew, that my car was showing in their system as EAP. But they also told me that there was nothing that they could see at all showing anything about FSD Capability. From what I could gather about...

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

SO, I missed an earlier post where someone directed me to my "Glovebox" - I wasn't aware of this before. My virtual window sticker was pretty much the one thing I couldn't previously locate. It very clearly states Full Self Driving Capability and says nothing else about EAP or anything. I've...

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

So a little more context because some have asked and maybe it helps...who knows. I'll also see if I can summarize it all again succinctly. (BTW, all of this info y'all provided is really really helpful.). This is a little long, but it'll detail the whole buying process with dates in case...

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

Wow, lots of new info here! Maybe this comes close: my Tesla support page on Tesla website says Enhanced Autopilot (this I didn’t see until after buying and didn’t notice EAP specifically until today). My app lists FSD as a $4K upgrade. My “build sheet” as I refer to it/them are posted...

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

Just for what it's worth, these are the two build pages that I referred to where they say FSD capability. I searched EVERYWHERE for whatever was meant by "capability" - does that mean it HAS FSD or that it CAN have FSD if I pay for it? If so, why list it that way instead of saying "Enhanced...

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

Yes, that is what it says on my page - Enhanced Autopilot. That's a large part of my frustration. When I was buying the car, and before I signed any paperwork or had a "page" to even check I was told that the car was FSD. It was one of about four reasons why I chose THIS car over many many...

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

Thanks, and that was sort of my concern. I did a LOT of research about this before buying. I knew I was only going to go used based on the price and so I wanted to "future proof" my car with exactly certain options. MCU wasn't a deal breaker, but HW and FSD was. I knew I was going to pay...

Tesla App eligible upgrades says FSD...but I have that...I think?

Starters: got my vehicle in late December 2019 used from Tesla. Vehicle details: late 2016 build 75D, HW2.0, MCU 1. When I was shopping on Tesla used site the vehicle details said "Full Self Driving Capability". On the "window sticker" it said the same thing. I knew that, based on the build...
