I don't think hw1 can go any further mainly due to the late of cameras in the sides, so it will never be able to turn on it's own. Hw2 looks very interesting, seem that it has a Ethernet port built in as well, would be very nice to get access to that :)

Sounds like a widespread issue, The temp here in Florida was around 75 too when it happened and I have the AP2 and glass roof as well. Hopefully Tesla will take a closer look at this as I don't want the problem to repeat itself.

Personally I don't think this is a good use of the rearview camera, you can route the wire yourself it took me like 10 minutes and I never done anything like it before. Something to consider.

This is very disappointing, this whole time Elon was hinting that it would be release for everyone. But instead is only for 1000 cars and in a very limited capacity. Not cool in my opinion. If this was the plan then it should have been communicated before now.

It so happened that Zen Auto Detail was on site as they do all the work for their demo cars, so they helped me out and removed in a few minutes, so I drove off without those clunky looking things.
