    THUNK from rear suspension

Anyone else experience a loud THUNK from their MY rear suspension when going over bumps/bumpy roads. It's jarring. It's almost like there's a big book in the right rear trunk area, that slams down when you hit a bump. Is it just the stiff as hell suspension and my crappy rutty roads? I also...

    Rear seat covers for dogs

Anyone have a recommendation for a rear seat cover for dogs? Would prefer one where I could still fold seats down or have the kiddo still sit on it... Google leads to a lot of generic versions. Hoping someone here has experience. Thanks!

Winter handling Subaru vs dual-motor model Y

I've found the opposite as the OP, although I admittedly have more variables than he does. And my opinion isn't rooted in any technical knowledge of how the systems work... I do think torque plays a big role in the difference for me. We have a 2013 outback with studded tires and we have...

Lifted, smaller wheels, bigger tires - update

The tires on there are larger diameter than stock... And no, you can't go much bigger without rubbing either 1) the front suspension knuckle or 2) the wheel wells on full turn. If you get a lower offset wheel you might overcome the knuckle problem, but your wheels will stick out a lot... And I...

Lifted, smaller wheels, bigger tires - update

TBH I have no idea. They recommended the brand, I chose the style I liked, and they put em on there. They haven't fallen off yet, so I assume they are ok! I suppose I could ask?

Lifted, smaller wheels, bigger tires - update

What wheels and tires you got there?

Lifted, smaller wheels, bigger tires - update

No, not at all. The ride isn't affected by the lift. The MPP lift is just spacers... Doesn't affect springs or anything. It's still a harsh ride!

Lifted, smaller wheels, bigger tires - update

I was skittish looking at 18" rims not knowing if they'd fit over the brakes... But the shop I worked with had fit some other Black Rhino rotary forged wheels on a Model Y... So they were confident. I didn't look at too many other options... There's always Martian wheels which are super light...

Lifted, smaller wheels, bigger tires - update

There's a few things that pushed me that way 1) natural laziness I'd be washing it every time I drive it! 2) I live in a small mountain town and feel enough like a city boy with a Tesla, so a dirty Tesla makes me a little less out of place 3) I'm planning to drive it for a long time, so...

Lifted, smaller wheels, bigger tires - update

I thought about wrapping it - but didn't want to spend the $4k only to have the wrap get dirty so you can't see it. This isn't a show car for me to make videos of on YouTube - it's my daily driver. I haven't wrapped my Subaru or big ole van either.... haven't had issues. Maybe I'll regret it...

Lifted, smaller wheels, bigger tires - update

I posted in a few other threads about lifting my MY, putting on 18" wheels and larger diameter tires. I have 1500-2000 miles on the new setup now, and thought I'd post an update in case anyone else is considering it. First - here's a photo - nice and dirty like I like it. It's got the MPP...

Rear Defrost? Not working as Expected?

We just had a big snow... Rear defrost got rid of the snow, but the rear window fogged up and I couldn't see through it, so I thought it hadn't gotten rid of the snow. I blasted the air and it cleared up no problem. Not saying that's what happened to you, just sharing my rear defroster story.

19" Michelin X-Ice SNOW - Has anyone got them?

I've got about 1500 miles on Vikingcontacts 7s on my MY. I have the MPP lift, and I downsized to 18inch wheels. I'm running 245/60/18s... We've had 2 feet of snow over the last two days and I live up a long twisty gravel road... The tires plus off-road assist have been bomb proof. We also...

MPP Lift Kit Install Instructions, Range Discussion & Driving Impressions

It's only that close on full turn. I don't plan on doing 80 at full turn. I'm on crappy, snowy, muddy roads every day where I live, and there's enough clearance for normal driving with muck buildup.... That's all I really care about.
