clean power alliance net metering question

Thank you. So if I pay then $50 and then I have a credit of $60. Will they give me back my $50? And what happens to the extra $10 in credit, they will reduce that amount to wholesale electricity price?

clean power alliance net metering question

Every time I get a bill I am surprised by thinking I understood how I will be charged for next month, but nooo! they throw in something new. So because net export is paid so badly by SCE I decided to limit my powerwalls to 50% instead of 10%. Therefore, most of the night I draw power from the...

Why are we limited to selling solar energy in real-time only?

Actually now that I ve learnt that SCE will only pay wholesale (like 0.03$ per kWh) for electricity I net produce, I see that its totally pointless being a net producer.

Solar with SCE TOU-D-PRIME vs. TOU-D-4-9PM

Well thats disappointing. I ve been so stingy with electricity I guess no need to worry about electricity saving then!

Solar with SCE TOU-D-PRIME vs. TOU-D-4-9PM

I thought that one gets paid the same rates for electricity that you generate as for electricity that you consume, but it doesnt seem to be the case. In fact you get paid $0.02 for net surplus kWh! Did you know this?

    SCE and Clean Power Alliance

Do you mean to say that once this number turns into a credit, they will never pay out this actual number?

Solar with SCE TOU-D-PRIME vs. TOU-D-4-9PM

Correct. Also the baseline credit will go against you... Still 4-9 seems better than PRIME for me.

Solar with SCE TOU-D-PRIME vs. TOU-D-4-9PM

I didnt. My usage was 102kWh. I consumer 1kWh mid peak, 23 kWh off peak, 264 kWh super off peak. And I produced 27 kWh mid peak, 0 off, 159 kWh super off peak.

Why are we limited to selling solar energy in real-time only?

I would also like to empty my battery into the grid whenever I choose to, and I would choose to do it at peak time.

Solar with SCE TOU-D-PRIME vs. TOU-D-4-9PM

I worked out that for me being on TOU 4-9 would yield $500 more per year than on TOU PRIME. Posted somewhere here. But then rates changed. I dont know what the new numbers are but for me 4-9 is still going to give back more $$ than PRIME. Also usage from 9-8 was also expensive, now its changed...

    SCE TOU-D-4-9PM vs TOU-D-PRIME

So I should be producing around 17MWh and using 12.6MWh + say 2MWh more for car charging and whatever else.
