Which self-hosted logging services do you use, and experience?

I'm using TeslaMate. I haven't dug into it so far as to create my own graphs yet. But it's using Grafana so you can do all sort of things if your willing to spend the time designing the dashboards and such. Will have to check out TeslaLogger.

High beams not working or I don't know how to work them

You can also access the Manual on the screen in the car via Controls > Service > Owners Manual

    What year is my Y?

Tesla doesn't always announce changes either. Sometimes they just start showing up. Even mid-model year.

Software Update Download gets stuck at 50%

It's pretty normal. Big files. Slow processor. Long time to decompress the downloaded package and verify checksums is my guess with just one big progress bar for the whole process. The actual download finishes relatively quickly if you watch traffic I suspect. I would do so myself but I can't...

    Tire rotation

I meant that I hadn't heard of Tesla mobile service having such a thing yet. Not that it had never been done.

    Tire rotation

That is likely not something we would be able to answer. The reason being we don't know what mobile service in your area has for equipment. If they show up in a big van that has tire balancing equipment installed in the back then sure. But I've never heard of such a thing yet. I'm not saying it...

CA DMV failing Tesla car for behind the wheel drive test

You might want to try talking to the manager about the test, BEFORE the test. That seems to be the recommendation Teslarati got anyway. “In the event (that) a customer has questions about taking a driving test in a particular vehicle, they should ask to speak with a manager before the test. DMV...

Blog Rivian Gets Range Rating of 316 Miles for R1T Pickup

All fair and valid points, however, new lighter batteries with faster charging are on the way and that may change the equations a bit. But I'll admit it's possible that it will never be a practical idea.

Blog Rivian Gets Range Rating of 316 Miles for R1T Pickup

The F150 Lightning will be a great truck. I have no doubts of that. The Cybertruck, Jury is out, Tesla has so far made fantastic vehicles (albeit with some growing pains) but the Cybertruck is so radically different that who knows how it will fair in the real world. Rivian? I wish them all the...

Blog Rivian Gets Range Rating of 316 Miles for R1T Pickup

I think that for some applications having some sort of additional battery system in the trailer and way to connect it to the EV is going to be the answer. Not for every thing, lots of basic trailers without batteries will still be out there, but in some instances I think that is going to make...

Blog Rivian Gets Range Rating of 316 Miles for R1T Pickup

Don't underestimate the drag of the bed on a truck. Especially when it's filled with all sort of oddly shaped items that are over the height of the side rails.

Blog Rivian Gets Range Rating of 316 Miles for R1T Pickup

The difference is that the 50k cybertruck has the built in cover for the bed making the vehicle far more aerodynamic. You can fit a lot in the bed and still use that cover. That makes the cybertruck great for the type who just enjoy driving a truck but rarely tow or haul things in the bed. I...

So real world range like 250 at least. And with a load of equipment in the bed probably half that. Pass!

Tesla Claims Warranty is Void Due to Aftermarket Puddle Lights

Um... you just open the phone app and turn on the climate control. Do that before you even walk out to the car and won't ever be an issue.

Had my Y for three months, five weeks in service center

You are welcome. If you truly are concerned that the car may have issues that are just unrepairable definitely research California lemon laws. There are also usually attorney's that specialize in lemon law cases that can be found. Hopefully you don't need to go that far but don't be afraid to...
