My April 2019 build SR+ had a flawless paint job. My sister's October 2019 LR AWD had flawless paint job. You only hear about the few bad ones on this forum. The other 97000 cars delivered in 2019 Q4 had good paint jobs.

Yes, the Shanghai factory is for Chinese production. That means the Fremont factory is no longer making cars for export to China. That means full Fremont production can be dedicated to North America and Europe. That means North American buyers can get their cars faster.

It's still in the equation. It just means that Fremont doesn't have to load up a bunch of container ships with Model 3s bound for China, and can divert Fremont production to NA and EU.

I know, as Illinois residents, that my sister and I were each able to pay our respective balances by personal check at the Westmont delivery center. Not sure about out-of-state residents, but I wouldn't be surprised if they let you use a personal check.

If the Tesla servers are in a California area affected by wildfires and they have no fail-over data center, it's going to be tough for them to record your delivery properly.

Did your car ever sort this out? I ran into the same problem yesterday when I had new aero wheels with TPMS and winter tires put on my car. The TPMS reset failed, and the display shows no psi.

My sister had no trouble getting my referral code added to her order at the Westmont IL store. It shows up in my account under the Friends Ordered column — after Friday I expect it will show up in the Delivered column — assuming there are no reasons to reject delivery.

I'm getting ready for winter in Chicago, also with a RWD Model 3. I went over to Discount Tire today and decided on Michelin X-Ice, but haven't picked a wheel yet. I would suggest that wheels are not the thing to be too budget conscious on — you're literally betting your life on them.

I did try it again when I saw a few people reporting 2019.32.12.2 availability. It worked! The software downloaded 100% without incident and informed me on my phone app. I launched the install and it updated my SR+, which is set to standard software update preference. Not sure why this is...

Chicago area inventory went from a dozen about 10 days ago to one red SR+ and two white LR AWDs as of right now. The LRs just showed up — an hour ago it was just the SR+.

Stick with your old plates. At least then if you have a transponder glitch the license plate reader will identify you as a passenger vehicle. I transferred my personalized plates that I've had for 40 years from my trade-in to my Model 3. Piece of cake at the Westmont store.
