Thinking About Selling Camaro SS 1LE For a Model 3

That's actually one of the reasons I went with the (now unicorned) P3D- (aka stealth). I had the option of high efficiency and extra thick tires for comfort and also the option to remove the aeros for looks, though to be honest I almost never remove the aeros any more- they've grown on me.

Thinking About Selling Camaro SS 1LE For a Model 3

Nope- the Aero covers are just hubcaps. Easily removed and added. The wheels underneath are very nice.

Thinking About Selling Camaro SS 1LE For a Model 3

I wonder if you could find a used performance version? You could have the best of both worlds. If you try a P3 you may never want another car. ever.

    LR3 is too efficient

Me too- P3d stealth at 305 wh/mile 12k miles. I suspect my acceleration curve is a bit higher than these super efficient types... I'm sure they have fun maximizing their efficiency- I just have a different type of fun.

Thinking About Selling Camaro SS 1LE For a Model 3

I did a quick google on your Camaro- if you have the 6.2L, going to a Model 3 LR will actually be a slower car, though off the line it will be faster. 0-60 will be just a bit slower, but it may not feel like that. I find my P3D- to have the most comfortable seats I've ever been in. The car...

    Wohoo thanks everyone

Elon originally said available in 2-3 weeks I think, but that quickly changed. Not sure what the current estimate is, but probably before summer. I know some have been delivered already.

Umm I think I got autopilot for free? How to confirm?

I didn't buy autopilot initially, but it was accidentally loaded on my car. 3 months in, it just went away one day. After getting spoiled with that feature, of course I had to purchase it... It was a bit of a runaround to do this, as apparently it was partially enabled and partially not-...

Obvious features/functions that weren't obvious to you

It will, but like AP you have to watch SUPER carefully or the dumb door may nail your car. I ended up shutting that feature off out of caution.

    Model 3 demand question

I hope so. I know that problems tend to get amplified on the forums. Glad to hear you had a good experience. Mine was so shockingly poor I didn't really know what to make of it. I had to be talked out of canceling my order after schedule change number 4 by a current model 3 owner. At...

    Model 3 demand question

Sorry again- I'm soapboxing. The MOST annoying part as a Tesla supporter (and business owner) is that if they had given me a 4 week delivery date, then moved it back a few days, I would have been ecstatic instead of disgruntled.

    Model 3 demand question

And 3 of those 6 would have caused me to drive 3 hours arriving without my car if I hadn't called ahead, been on hold for quite a while, then the answer kept coming back- no the car is not here yet. Sadly I've seen a couple of recent post with very similar stories. You would think they would...

    Model 3 demand question

Sorry- my specific experience was that I had 6 reschedules in 1 month, but the performance cars were shipping much faster than the lower models. I'll be very surprised if the bulk of current sub-40k orders get delivered within 1 month.
  14. astrowunder

    Model 3 demand question

Like most Tesla estimates, I would put good money they are pulling those timelines right out of their tail pipes. I predict people will be ignored for at least 3 weeks, then after the customer prods them, they'll give out another identical estimate of 2-4 weeks. Then after 5 weeks and the...

How much can the Model 3 tow? (Towing capacity)

I'm a little confused as to why towing would be an issue at all- there's no transmission to wear out, just 300-450 horsepower electric motors? I would think the base model 3 could easily tow 2k while the performance could handle 4k or more? Note I'm just pulling those numbers out of the air...

    Model 3 camper mode equivalent

Thanks! That looks really good. I was hoping for an air mattress, but this looks like it packs up fairly small

    Model 3 camper mode equivalent

For sure an S or X would be better, but I'm not trading in my 3! My wife and I fit in the 3, but it's definitely cozy. One problem is the height- more than about 4 inches of mattress height and you can't lay side sideways (or roll over). Most air mattresses are at least 6-8 inches inflated.

    Sentry Sucks USB Space

128 GB Sandisk acquired. $17.99. Windows 10 can't format the drive with more than 32GB, but luckily it comes from the factory formatted to 128- just have to create the TeslaCam folder- seems to be working just fine...

    Rear roof crack

I called service on this- their response was I can try to take it to a service station (3 hours away) to see if they'll confirm/admit it's a defect in which case they'll replace it for free, but if they say no, then I have to do it with insurance. Haven't decided if it's worth my time yet.

    Rear roof crack

Yet another glass problem. This crack appeared a couple of days ago- no impact or anything. It looks like it runs right along the heating element- I did have a very cold day this week near 0 degrees F when I ran the defrost at full blast. Also odd thing- you can't feel this crack from the...

Autopilot lane change success right vs left

I’m wondering if everyone’s cars do this or if it’s just mine. When I lane change to the left, I have a 100% success rate. When I change to the right it’s maybe 60% on the first attempt. If it’s going to cancel the lane change it’s always to the right when it happpens.

TIP : Reduced charging rate due to cold workaround

Just had a situation where I needed a full charge by the next morning, but my charge rate was 1/2 normal due to cold. I waited an hour after I came home (hoping the battery would warm up) and it still was only charging at 16 amps- it said it was going to take more than 14 hours to complete...

I was out of town so didn't see this. The last time this occurred I discovered you can use the wifi hotspot, but the trick is you have to pull over while it's in drive and hit the parking 'hold' feature, then re-enable the phone hotspot on the car. It will stay active until the next time you...

Performance not getting 310 miles promised

Sorry if someone already posted this link- I don't have time to read 13 pages right now. Tesla Range Table - Teslike.com I find my P3D stealth with aeros gets very close to this chart. Under 65 without leadfoot I can get close to the rated range, which almost never happens for me.
