That's actually one of the reasons I went with the (now unicorned) P3D- (aka stealth). I had the option of high efficiency and extra thick tires for comfort and also the option to remove the aeros for looks, though to be honest I almost never remove the aeros any more- they've grown on me.

Nope- the Aero covers are just hubcaps. Easily removed and added. The wheels underneath are very nice.

I'm a little confused as to why towing would be an issue at all- there's no transmission to wear out, just 300-450 horsepower electric motors? I would think the base model 3 could easily tow 2k while the performance could handle 4k or more? Note I'm just pulling those numbers out of the air...

For sure an S or X would be better, but I'm not trading in my 3! My wife and I fit in the 3, but it's definitely cozy. One problem is the height- more than about 4 inches of mattress height and you can't lay side sideways (or roll over). Most air mattresses are at least 6-8 inches inflated.

Has anyone found an inflatable mattress that works well for 2 (thin) people?

128 GB Sandisk acquired. $17.99. Windows 10 can't format the drive with more than 32GB, but luckily it comes from the factory formatted to 128- just have to create the TeslaCam folder- seems to be working just fine...

I discovered that Sentry is using a ton of space and filling the drives up. My 8 gig no longer does the job. Just ordered a 128 Sandisk.

I noticed my USB sticks stopped recording quickly with 5.15. I thought they were corrupted, but they're FULL! 8 gigs doesn't even last for a few hours with sentry enabled. Time for a BFD

I haven't had this issue with 5.15. I continue to lose about 3 miles per night as before.

My rear window cracked right along the heating element. I was told by Tesla there are actually 2 layers to the back glass so I suspect the inner layer is distorting. Here's my post showing the crack Rear roof crack

That's what I would say as well- seems obvious, but the 6+ hour travel to bet that this works is dicey. Not to mention they will probably not have the replacement in stock or be able to turn it around same day...

I called service on this- their response was I can try to take it to a service station (3 hours away) to see if they'll confirm/admit it's a defect in which case they'll replace it for free, but if they say no, then I have to do it with insurance. Haven't decided if it's worth my time yet.

I’ve had the car 5 months with 8000 miles. It is very consistent in this behavior. And I rarely let it get dirty :)

Curtently heading to Arizona. Headwinds today were amazing- had 428 wh/mile. Luckily I charged more than the car suggested because I only had 8% in Albuquerque.

I’m wondering if everyone’s cars do this or if it’s just mine. When I lane change to the left, I have a 100% success rate. When I change to the right it’s maybe 60% on the first attempt. If it’s going to cancel the lane change it’s always to the right when it happpens.

Just had a situation where I needed a full charge by the next morning, but my charge rate was 1/2 normal due to cold. I waited an hour after I came home (hoping the battery would warm up) and it still was only charging at 16 amps- it said it was going to take more than 14 hours to complete...

You won't see a + in the factory badge- both P3ds and P3d with PUP get this same badge. The PUP folks also get a carbon fiber spoiler and fancy pedals

Sorry if someone already posted this link- I don't have time to read 13 pages right now. Tesla Range Table - Teslike.com I find my P3D stealth with aeros gets very close to this chart. Under 65 without leadfoot I can get close to the rated range, which almost never happens for me.

Pretty standard. Between normal Lithium Ion loss and the car's usage I think that's what everyone gets.

Best thing in 48.12.1: Camping mode! Haven't heard anyone talk about this yet. I'm planning on long trip in February including some camping so the timing is excellent.
