    Wall Charger hell

Can you elaborate on this comment? Unwind the whole cable when charging? I have mine coiled in a much bigger loop around the connector but I don't uncoil when charging as my car is quite close.

    Charger placement?

Elon just tweeted asking where should they put new superchargers. Scottsdale probably had the highest concentration of X and S, but now with the 3 that will change.

    Failed to Turn on Climate

Tesla says my car has an intermittent issue with the front temp/humidity sensor located near the windshield. Said they can replace it and/or the cable in about 90 minutes. Offered to do it today if I brought it in, but I don't have time. Very good service.

    Failed to Turn on Climate

I don't think it's a connection issue as my keep climate on menu from inside the car also does not work and that should not be dependent on connection issue.

    Decreased Distance with 28.8

As I recall, sentry mode uses about 200 watts, so it will consume close to one mile of range per hour of use. There's no phantom.

Basenor wind noise reduction kit makes a very positive difference

Please take before and after dB measurements. You can find a free phone app to take the measurements. Thanks! My results for the RPM wind strip is -2dB. I have door seals but haven't installed them. Other results: rear cargo mat, block rear deck baffle, front and rear sunshades, all...

Small accident caused by garbage truck

Just went through similar situation. Your repairs are simple, both bumper and fender are bolt on and parts are readily available. If you're close to San Jose, I'd take it to the Tesla body shop, otherwise find a Tesla Certified shop (that's what I did). Have them order the parts before you...

Help with insurance car rental after my Model 3 was damaged

Just went through this....your insurance will pay you the $30 day and seek subrogation from the other company for their expenses. You can then submit a bill to the other company for your extra out of pocket rental car expenses.

Blind spot and relationship to surrounding vehicles shown on display ...

I've been driving with the stick on mirrors pictured several posts above. Fairly happy with them, although a euro style partial convex that utilizes the auto dimming function and is not blue would be ideal...I'd pay up for that.

Understanding the origin and nature of Vampire Drain.

You might be right. If we see a bunch of reports of dead 12v batteries, we'll know vampire is coming back :-)

    Road/wind noise

Road noise is very dependent on pavement type/quality. Concrete quite a bit noisier than asphalt. Car audio is the best. Try another test drive.

    Low tire pressure warning

After you set the pressure, reset your TPM...chances are the TPM is still set for 42 or 45 psi unless you have reset it. I disagree with others here that 39 is 'so low'. I run 39 and feel that it's the ideal pressure. Plenty of similar weight vehicles are spec'd for air pressure in the 30s...

Free Tire Patch @ Tesla Service

Not all of their models use runflats, but yes a lot do. I believe the no patching policy existed prior to their use of runflats as well.

Free Tire Patch @ Tesla Service

As I recall BMW has a policy to not patch any tire, so you're right, the dealer will soak you. Nice they did it for free. For future reference, Discount Tire will also patch for free.

Trunk Mat - Recommendations & Rubber or Carpeted

I prefer carpet inside the car since I live in a dry climate, but the maxpider mats in the trunk and frunk are nice. Much nicer looking than rubber in my opinion.

Trunk Mat - Recommendations & Rubber or Carpeted

check out the 3D maxpider...waterproof is better for trunk since rain can leak in if you open trunk with a lot of standing water on the trunk lid.

    A/C and Mileage

True, but the OP seemed to be using manual since his fan setting was very high for a long period of time. For me, I liked auto when it worked, but it is not functioning right now.

    A/C and Mileage

recirculate mode will save some energy once the interior has cooled below the external air temp. I also find that high fan speed is not always best for lkeeping the car cool. Yes, on startup to initially cool the car, but after that, lower the fan speed and the air will blow cooler.

    Road Service after Warranty Expires?

You can often get Roadside assistance coverage through your insurance company for very little. Personally, I carry a plug kit and small compressor. Do you really want to have your car towed anyway when you can typically plug and fill it yourself?

Got hit by another car, how bad is this kind of damage?

Agree, there is some price gouging going on for sure. My repairs required nothing Tesla specific but hourly rates were double for everything. Although they did disconnect the HV battery at one point, so I can see that requiring a Tesla trained tech, but for sanding, painting, pounding out...

Got hit by another car, how bad is this kind of damage?

I think you are misunderstanding the Tesla body shop situation. There are only 3 Tesla owned body shops: two in California and one in Chicago. These are full body shops. Some Tesla service centers are now starting to do minor repair to bolt on panels. I don't believe they have any paint...

Reverse made my car go forward...

Reverse made my car go forward...

Just happened to me today. Have almost 5,000 miles on the car so not a complete newbie. Car kept pulling forward into a curb stop. It sure felt like the car was powering forward and not just rolling, but I was so close to the curb stop I was afraid to give it too much throttle each time I...

    Auto A/C Anomaly

After some more testing, I don't think it's a driver's profile thing, I think my auto mode is defective. It also won't allow me to select, 'keep cool on' when exiting the car nor will it allow to set cooling from the app.

    Tesla M3 Cabin Noise

Doesn't sound twice as loud to me. Db scale is widely misunderstood due to difference between perceived loudness and sound pressure. Were the tires the same model in the video and were the pressures identical?

    Auto A/C Anomaly

So a followup on this. It seems that vent selection in auto mode is part of the driver's profile. When I changed the vent to face and saved my profile then it seemed to remain with face vent at next startup. This is surprising to me since I thought the purpose of auto mode is that it would...

    2019.20.4.4 broke scheduled charging

I spoke too soon, my car appears to have topped off this morning after my super off peak rate period, arrgh. Seems to be a bug with this latest version as I haven't noticed it before. Perhaps Tesla should allow you to include a charging window so you can be sure there is no topping off outside...
