Tesla V10 software update rollout: post here if you are still waiting

That was a quick update. Downloading now. Have not tested much to see what if anything is broken. But did notice NOA is auto on and car changes lanes with less user input. Will check summon soon Ish, maybe after another update.

CLK AMG vs P3D... at a left turn of all places.

Good amount of smoke from those tires.
  5. boriszima

For AWD owners wanting a P3D-

Now we can wait until next year. It’s Likely Tesla can add more power, but will it? And how much? If difference before was 11K, how much lower will they charge?

    Driving From LA to Vegas....

Just drove from LA to LV, it was a breeze. Based on recommendations here stopped by Yermo, which was exactly halfway. Eddieworld is opened until midnight but their cafeteria closes at 9pm. Tons of candy if you are into that and clean bathroom. I left Thursday night, so SC was empty when i got...

Are the HPWC free at the new Linq V3 supercharger station?

If anyone is going to Vegas and staying at Cosmo, they have 4 Tesla chargers at Valet. Just need to ask to charge your car. Thats what I did when visited couple of weekends ago. Sure Valet > Self Parking, but saved hassle going to SC. Rode High Roller at Linq with a full bar, it was alright.

    Picking up car issues?

The saga continues for Mike. Thanks for keeping us updated and sharing good information. @Petrocelli - I thought you settled on getting model 3 after test driving it from a very interesting thread of yours?
  12. boriszima

    Picking up car issues?

Well that escalated quickly. If possible just ask for a new bumper painted already instead of repainting it. I don't understand how its cheaper? for Tesla to repaint/replace part instead of touching it up?
  13. boriszima

    Picking up car issues?

I would accept and note it if thats only thing, then you can take it to SC. If it bothers you enough, reject it and wait if you can.does trunk opens ok without rubbing paint?
  14. boriszima

    rear-ended by someone elses rear-end

If the bumper comes painted, will it match exactly to the current color? I guess if a car is fairly new it will, but i hear with other cars it takes time to match paint to exact color of the rest of the body of the car?

    Referral Program

Funny enough I just got email from Tesla to make sure my shipping info was correct for the referral wall connector. Been waiting since February. Before I was told early 2020 is when to expect it. Nice surprise today. Good luck
  16. boriszima

Why is windshild wiper info the default so many times?

Same here, does not bother me as I assumed that’s how it is. So other people can change to other display and it sticks? Never gave it a thought I guess

    Rear motor failure, need assistance

I agree, have Tesla get you a rental, otherwise it might be a headache for how long and reimbursement afterwards. Suck that your experienced this and so early in the game.

    P3D vs S100D ?

Cool, i guess you answered your own question which is better for you. Likely with suspension on new Raven Model S it will be better. Unless you wanted smaller car, then you can buy aftermarket suspension for Model 3 to make a ride a bit smoother.

Sept. 2020, End of Qtr, Free upgrades, NOT!

Seems either there was miscommunication and or future owners were trying to game the system. I can see why Tesla would offer some freebies for those that waited and unload inventory cars that match close enough in those regions. Jumping 3 months int December, it will be likely something similar...

    P3D vs S100D ?

@Green_Light what you thought? I just got back from long trip in AWD model 3 and I find seats very comfortable. Of course we all have different preferences. Get performance model 3 as there might be Ludacris mode coming.

New Tesla? Nope, never again! Cherry Hill Tesla the worst.

I needed Tesla SC twice, one to replace flat and broken adapter. Both times I had good experience. It does appear other luxury brands have better establishments when it comes to service. Maybe one day Tesla will authorize 3rd to fix cars just like Apple did recently. All the time I saved not...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

So it seems I am not the only one with some range drop. I charge every day to 80% which was about 242-245 miles for me. Now, some 15K miles later it’s about 238. I am not worried at this time as others said 8 years warranty and still plenty of range. I also hope it’s software adjustments rather...

Teslarati speculates that Ludicrous mode is coming

Seems a lot of items are in the pipeline for Tesla. I think there is always extra squeeze of some performance, we shall find out towards end of the year. If this will be free, then those with Model 3 Performance will be happy(with PUP for sure, who knows about those that have stealth) if paid...

Looking for recommendations for Body repair shop in San Fernando Valley area of LA

Any reason why you are not considering to take it very local to you to Tesla in Van Nuys? Unless you believe 3rd party can fix it cheaper and faster? Glad you are ok, likely the other car hit one of the sensors that trigger air bags?

    Tesla car window break-ins

this sucks OP. I also go hiking a lot and i usually bring my wallet with me in the camelbak. So now hopefully you had a chance to get insurance on your car and file claim. I hope thats the start and end of your problems. Take care of your financials.

Who has solar power at their home? Please chime in....

Usually when you get your solar quotes, company will come out to assess your roof and underlayment and such, they will let you know. A reputable solar installer willl also have roof license (at least in CA) and warranty against leaks for 25 years.

    National Drive Electric Events Sept 14 - 22, 2019

I am glad i saw this. There is event that is only 2 miles away. I am considering going/attending there with my friend who also has a Model 3. I do not see too many electric cars in direct vicinity where I live. I love my car and love talking about it with friends who at times get tired of me...

Does your spouse have your key on their phone?

We have one Tesla, my wife has the key for Valet purposes and app installed. When we are on the phone, i often remind her not to miss turn. Plus it helps if we are meeting from different points, where one of us parked. The car is mine, but it is shared and now she drives it most of the time as...

Who Else Doesn't Care about the Performance Model? vs. AWD

Before price difference was around $11K to go from AWD to performance with wheels and brakes. So I got AWD. Now price difference is smaller to get faster car. $2k with smaller wheels and brakes. I am happy now. Might be happier if I have waiter a year to get m3p- ? Maybe since now cars a...

Going for it - new Solar Roof install scheduled

Very cool. Roof looks amazing. If you need more kW production, can you simply remove fillers and add solar roof shingles? Or wires that were ran at certain gage can only carry certain amp and or voltage. In other words, is it easy to add more to your current setup?

    Model 3 repair disaster

Glad you are ok. thats the problem with Tesla, relative young, major of parts made goes on brand new cars and as it appears small % meant for repairs. I do agree, it is hard to get a hold of human over at Tesla these days.

Do people buy these so not to use screws or double tape on the front bumper? Assuming Tesla gave front mounting frame?

New Model 3 or wait for Y?

@dano9258 - if you want/can wait 1.5-2 years to get Model Y (fall 2020 anticipated release date), by all means do so. I think Model 3 compares well to I3, unless you need a crossover, then wait. could always buy used until Model Y.

Why does no one at the service center or parts counter ever answer the phone?

I do agree, it was much easier to schedule a service with my old Nissan Ice, via online scheduled appointment and done next day or call them. Tesla on other hand is trying to hunt them, not worst but growth is hurting it. Sure there is less maintenance but there is still some plus no 3rd party...
