    Dear Tesla

Although I am really enjoying my “seamless Tesla experience” please add an App for Audible. You may have heard of them. They are somewhat popular. Oh, and while you are at it, the Apple Music app could use some improvement. Okay a lot. Whatever you do, don’t let us have Apple Carplay and Android...

    Sensitivity of “auto” wipers

Seriously, how can a company like Tesla not get auto-wipers right?! 😂 . It has actually gotten worse in my experience. Maybe they are training an AI to design something and they are starting with their auto-wiper system.

    Wiki 2021+ Model S Refresh - Missing/Incomplete Software Features

Oh, Tesla said the same thing as Kia, Hyundai, Ford, GM, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Ferrari, etc, etc, etc- they never said they would have their own app store. Yet somehow ALL these other manufacturers have Apple Carplay! Wow! So what is your point again?

    Wiki 2021+ Model S Refresh - Missing/Incomplete Software Features

I don't care if he's been "clear" What I am ticked about is Tesla isn't working it out and they don't appear to give a cr4p that we can't use other apps like we can on our phones or other cars. Bluetooth from a phone was cool from 2008-2012 but jeez guys. They don't talk about it. They act...

Aftermarket Tesla CarPlay and Android Auto Devices

I was just thinking of doing the switched USB thing. I have one of those dongles. Hmmm. I will check out that Android project also. I have the T2C with the SIM card but could not get it to work at all. Frustrating. I just looked into the Tesla Android Project. Are you using it for...

Do you power it with switched power or does it stay on even when you leave your car?

Aftermarket Tesla CarPlay and Android Auto Devices

I am making a third attempt at the T2C working smoothly in my Model S. Here is my setup order. It is super specific and weird. First, make sure your phone's personal hotspot is OFF. 1. Connect the T2C to phone bluetooth through the Phone Settings - Bluetooth 2. Connect the car to the T2C's...

Tesla - either give us AA and CarPlay or your own App Store - BUT DO SOMETHING!!!

    Wiki 2021+ Model S Refresh - Missing/Incomplete Software Features

The Tesla Apple Music app is psychotic. Also, I drive with Waze in the background for alerts like "object in road ahead". I't would be cool if there was a slick hinging and latching product to allow for an iPad in easy reach also.

    Phone App: iPhone/Android app

I suppose I could just glue an iPad Pro on top of the display- and I would get 5G+ !!

    Wiki 2021+ Model S Refresh - Missing/Incomplete Software Features

Yeah, I got a few MISSING FEATURES to report... Car Play, Android Auto, Apps, ANY new apps. Ok, how about then a Tesla App store? My goodness, do SOMETHING :mad:. I am driving a cutting edge tech 1,000+ hp car with the world's most advanced FSD and yet I'm bluetoothing from my phone...

    Phone App: iPhone/Android app

Is there any way the Tesla app could be made to extended the display and touch interface of my iPhone to the screen in the car?

How to install other Apps to Tesla? Is there something like the App store and Google store?

Just silly how I have to use my phone for my Audible account.

1/8th mile Drag Racing - Need to find 0.06 seconds! Any suggestions?

I tried lower pressures and they slowed me down. The track is sticky- usually.

1/8th mile Drag Racing - Need to find 0.06 seconds! Any suggestions?

I've thought about the tires pressures. Maybe I will goof around with it. As far as sticky rears, I would like to hit it on regular street tires.

1/8th mile Drag Racing - Need to find 0.06 seconds! Any suggestions?

Sorry. 2022 S Plaid 21" wheels. Michelin PS4 non tesla spec.

I thought about this. I don't know if it will do anything but it would look super cool. lol.

1/8th mile Drag Racing - Need to find 0.06 seconds! Any suggestions?

I can get close to a 5 second 1/8th mile. My times are right around 6.05 seconds. Battery is 90%+, drag strip mode/ready, cheetah mode sometimes, tires at 40 psi, suspension low, car emptied of any extra cargo, tires are relatively fresh. I have tried tires higher/lower psi, various...

POLL: vibration felt when slightly accelerating refresh Mode S Plaid or LR

I don't have any noises. My Tesla spec Michelins keep getting destroyed 😂😂. The non-Tesla spec MPS4S seem tough enough for the Plaid brutality.

    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

Get the Homelink remote crap sorted out. Waze or something equivalent using the Tesla network- object on road, police reported ahead - come on folks Audible?! Really? If you aren't going to do CarPlay or AAuto, have your own damn apps. There is NOTHING right now. GREAT CAR otherwise.

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

I don't think its an alignment issue. It's a tire structural failure IMHO. I had my NEW rear Michelins T2 aligned, in LOW setting, per the pics. I went to drag races and ten days later boom, one of them was destroyed just like all the other ones here. My theory is the tire structure begins...
  24. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

I agree. Not an alignment issue. My theory is the torque of these cars breaks the tire's structural integrity and they start to come apart and over a short amount of time they wear like this since they are deforming in strange ways.

    Plaid tire failure

John, I have one. I will call you.

    Sensitivity of “auto” wipers

I mean this is an easy one to fix with a little bit of revised code and some simple added features (setting our own interval time, setting max auto speed, etc).

    Sensitivity of “auto” wipers

Finally rained in SoCal. Ok, Cal. A lot. Auto wiper is pretty bad. They must have had a student engineer do the code. Manual is fine, but its manual. Come on guys.

Michelin did not ask for my old tires back.

Smoked a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ in the stoplight derby.

I could hear him coming a mile away. Sounded, and looked amazing. He was behind me making a left onto a two-lane roadway. I knew he saw my Plaid badge and he might try to make a move past me just after the turn. Most cars I would ignore, but I just couldn't let this one by. And he sure did...

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

I wish I believed it was as simple as you claim it to be Sam. But I don't.
  31. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

No. I do not believe riding on the edge is the problem.
  32. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

My suggestion is, and what I am doing is, overinflating the tires to 45psi and driving them easy. The higher pressure gives them better structural integrity. Also, no cheetah launches or pedal slamming. Ease into the acceleration over a second or two. We can also use the non-"T" versions of...
  33. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

I am not in the "it's the camber, stupid" camp. My thought is that the tires are structurally getting "broken" by the massive, instant torque on the inside corner and then wear unevenly as they then continue to deform with just regular use after that. Camber wear is even across almost the...
  34. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

That's not a tire failing in your pics. That's wear of bad alignment. Even with all that wear in your picture, the tire is structurally intact. Our Michelins are getting torn up, not by bad alignment. We are dealing with something different here IMHO. I am eager to learn more about the...
  35. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

    I like my 21's. I paid for my 21's. I want my 21's.
  36. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

Yes the T2 is the Tesla spec version of the tire. Comes with the foam and the tread chip.
  37. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

Me too. A bit noisier though. The T2 had me spoiled.
  38. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

Fronts do not have this problem. Since you have10,000 miles, I would ask Michelin to replace both back tires.
  39. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

One perhaps informative bit of info is that on my worn tire, the wear was not even, it was sinusoidal as it went around the tire. Like pulsing. This tells me the tire is stretching and deforming. Maybe more info that the tire is structurally failing as opposed to even wear due to just bad...
  40. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

Interesting. Maybe the too-short-of-a-sidewall is the cause. Not enough inflation, sidewall damage, eventual structure failure. Or just a good pothole starts it and the damage spreads from stress.
  41. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

Would this mean tire defect on the 21s? If it was alignment, we should still see the same wear on the 19's and 20's right?
  42. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

Michelin honored my claim and paid 75% of the replacement set which Tire Rack was kind enough to order for me. I was unable to find new T2's anywhere, but Tire Rack eventually got the non-Tesla version in and I snagged a rear set of those. They are a bit noisier on some road surfaces, but not...
  43. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

When I threw the T2's on the car was aligned very carefully at the low ride height so I do not believe it was an alignment issue (at least it being far out of spec)
  44. HighPotential

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

I think it is difficult. Why then only one of my two identical rear tires?
