Seriously, how can a company like Tesla not get auto-wipers right?! 😂 . It has actually gotten worse in my experience. Maybe they are training an AI to design something and they are starting with their auto-wiper system.

The Tesla Apple Music app is psychotic. Also, I drive with Waze in the background for alerts like "object in road ahead". I't would be cool if there was a slick hinging and latching product to allow for an iPad in easy reach also.

I don't think its an alignment issue. It's a tire structural failure IMHO. I had my NEW rear Michelins T2 aligned, in LOW setting, per the pics. I went to drag races and ten days later boom, one of them was destroyed just like all the other ones here. My theory is the tire structure begins...

I agree. Not an alignment issue. My theory is the torque of these cars breaks the tire's structural integrity and they start to come apart and over a short amount of time they wear like this since they are deforming in strange ways.

Yes the T2 is the Tesla spec version of the tire. Comes with the foam and the tread chip.

Fronts do not have this problem. Since you have10,000 miles, I would ask Michelin to replace both back tires.

One perhaps informative bit of info is that on my worn tire, the wear was not even, it was sinusoidal as it went around the tire. Like pulsing. This tells me the tire is stretching and deforming. Maybe more info that the tire is structurally failing as opposed to even wear due to just bad...

Interesting. Maybe the too-short-of-a-sidewall is the cause. Not enough inflation, sidewall damage, eventual structure failure. Or just a good pothole starts it and the damage spreads from stress.

Michelin honored my claim and paid 75% of the replacement set which Tire Rack was kind enough to order for me. I was unable to find new T2's anywhere, but Tire Rack eventually got the non-Tesla version in and I snagged a rear set of those. They are a bit noisier on some road surfaces, but not...

When I threw the T2's on the car was aligned very carefully at the low ride height so I do not believe it was an alignment issue (at least it being far out of spec)

I think it is difficult. Why then only one of my two identical rear tires?
