    New Highland UK - stalks

An RWD M3P would be rather too tail happy for most, but great fun ;) Unfortunately it would probably end up being even more expensive to insure.

    New Highland UK - stalks

Of that we can be sure.

    New Highland UK - stalks

Another issue with the stalks we don't seem to have discussed is if you drive a number of different cars and regularly switch between them. Now I know people adapt quickly to the lesser used controls eg. heater, radio etc but these controls are not needed instantly and are allways in the same...

    [UK] 2024.2

Only done 50 miles but same here, and I'm pretty sure the speed display font size has shrunk back to what it was a year or so back. No FSD installed on my car.

Just stop the charge. It does not affect Octopus giving you a scheduled charge.

    I can't see that being possible. ??

You need to set the limit in the car to at least 6% more than the limit set in the Octopus app for it to start a charge.

Is there any difference between Pilot Sport 4 and Pilot Sport 4 acoustic tyres?

I changed the rears on my M3P- from PS4 with acoustic foam to PS5's no foam. Couldn't tell the difference in noise or handling. They were more available and cheaper too. Try getting a price from ASDA tyres, they were the cheapest and you choose a fitter local to you.

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I switched from Go Faster to Intelligent a couple of days ago on my M3P. It went fairly seemlessly in the App except that I have an old dumb Rolec charger (c. 2016) and as I expected there was no option to choose that. I went for a wall socket which it accepted and the switch completed. It did...

    Noise from A/C Compressor?

Simple cheap fix then, the best kind.

    Noise from A/C Compressor?

The compressor noise doesn't sound that bad in vid. Even if it's on it's way out it probably wouldn't sound too bad when under low load. What I was suggesting about turning to max heat would force it ramp up the compressor speed to max and the high revs would create substantially more noise. For...

    Noise from A/C Compressor?

There isn't a pulley or belt, it's driven directly by an electric motor. Try turning the temperature right to maximum with a high fan speed. If it gets much worse it's most likely the compressor. If not it may just be a radiator fan bearing.

    2023.12...

Anybody know if the counting number of exits on roundabouts error is fixed yet ? Often when navigating it'll say use the third exit but the map shows the route taking the first. Been like this for ages, guess it's assuming I am driving on the other side of the road.

    2023.12...

Well, this has got to be one of the most useful updates so far. As I am getting on a bit the bigger fonts are a massive improvement with no downsides as far as I can see 😉. Got to say why wasn't it like this in the first place but hey ho. The other changes are all good too. Not found any bugs...

    2023.6.x

    Maybe it's got Mercedes syndrome ? 😉
  17. B

Since upgrading to 2023.6.11 this week I’ve had restricted regen braking. Can anyone advise?

They seem to foul this up from time to time but it's usually fixed in the next update.

    Tyre prices

Don't bother with acoustic tyres, reduces your choice and hardly makes any real difference in the car. Plus they are harder to repair if the need arises. Plus, the emergency sealant stuff doesn't work. I found ASDA tyres to be the best price. 3 months ago I got a pair of 18" Michelin PS 5's for...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

When do think they will get around to doing an overhead camera for for tight spaces ? The MG4 I test drove yesterday has it and it costs half the price of a Tesla.

I guess Honda will try and wriggle out of it and blame Tesla.

Headlight alignment screwed up after software update.

Can't find recalibrate in the manual but did the headlight alignment again in the garage again (dead flat) and it did some whirring which it didn't do the first time it a few days ago. I'll try it on the road later. Thanks

Headlight alignment screwed up after software update.

First night drive in a few months and the headlights are miles out of line. Pointing too high and too far right. I'm sure I read somewhere that it could be due to a software update, had so many in the last month or two who knows when it first happened. I can adjust them using the service mode...

    Energy Consumption Update

Another thing to bear in mind is the fan speed, if you have high fan speed set then the car has to heat up a significant volume of cold air. It takes a significant amount of energy to head air from say 0 degrees C to 22. Run at the lowest speed you can get away with the keep the car up to temp...

Oh those wipers (again, I know...)

I think you are being a bit hard on Tesla there, in the early days (2019) the auto wipers were totally useless, now they are only fairly useless a lot of the time. I only just installed 40.5 today, is this what caused this latest problem ? Still, we can have the car in fancy colours on screen...

FSD purchased with vehicle or post delivery - does it matter?

Yeah, I've seen a few where it drives like fairly competent 17 year old learner. I would be too embarrassed to be seen in the drivers seat. And anyway, what is the point when you have to spend all your time watching out for the dumb things it may or may not do ?

FSD purchased with vehicle or post delivery - does it matter?

I can't see why you want to buy it now, why not buy it when they've got it working ? I went for test drive in 2016, and it was supposed to be a year away. The vid's from American freeways and the deserted back streets of LA don't really prove a lot for me.
