I have a Model S but I would like to change out the seats. I found someone selling a drivers seat from the same year (2018) as mine but Its from a Model X. Anybody know if that would that work in my S? Are they the same size seats? I tried looking online but I couldn't find anything on it.

Might be a long shot, but do you know if these would work in the Model S?

Awesome! Thanks for the input. Do you know if the newer premium seats (ie vegan leather) would work if I swapped them out? Or do they have a different connection/harness? I just really hate the textile and leather mix and really want the vegan leather seats haha

I bought this to replace the harness and throw into my 85 S but I never got around to it. Everything is there aside from the black plastic backing over it. The door handle just needs a new wiring harness to work like new Asking $50 + shipping or local pick up in Utah.

So I’m theory if I rooted the MCU I could software enable nav? How do I know that my MCU has nav at all and wouldn’t need a different unit? I would highly prefer to keep my same MCU and just unlock the nav function if that would be possible.

Yeah, Nav didn’t come standard until 2014/2015.

@StarLog - I tried the suggestion but no dice. It just pulls up the location and shows me where it is on the map. No nav. I’ll go into the service center and see how much they would charge to retrofit nav once the ownership transfer completes.
