Bubbles/leaking glue MCU screen replacement question

Does anyone know what the MCU replacement cost from Tesla is? My 2013 is leaking, while forming a large bubble around the edge. I'm about to sell my car, and wondering 1) if anyone will buy it with a leaking screen 2) How much of the cost of the new MCU I can recover when selling. Other than...

Software Version 9/10 for Non-AP/Classic Cars

I like the new media layout. It's much easier to switch between content on my phone, and a favorite Tunein station. Here is what I don't like. When navigating, I used to be able to size the map however I liked. Now it resets after about 5 seconds to either the whole trip, or it positions the car...

At What Point Do I Contact Tesla?

Here is the latest on my situation. Tesla have had my car for just over 2 weeks now. They ran diagnostics and have determined that there is indeed a "problem" with the high voltage battery. The good news is that all repairs will be done under the battery warranty (my standard warranty expired a...

At What Point Do I Contact Tesla?

Just to update you on my situation (Similar to the OP) Tesla have had my car for a week now (running Diagnostics ). I've not heard back whether they've found anything - I'm enjoying the Insane mode Loaner too much :)

At What Point Do I Contact Tesla?

I have exactly the same problem - it started occurring a couple of weeks ago. My 2013 S85 90% is 208 miles. I'll call Tesla and see what they say. I wonder if a Failed Battery Module is covered under the Battery Warranty?

How many miles are realistic to expect?

I just paid $3,000 for a new DC-DC converter. I have 85k on the clock and the car is almost 4 years old. Sunnyvale Service told me that I should expect this sort of repair as I have high mileage!!! The service center have a different view on what High mileage is than Elon

TPMS retrofit for older Model S

I had the same warnings, and Santa Clara SC said they had to change everything (tire sensors, TPMS CPU, Antenna), and then told me it was impossible to install the components that gave individual readouts. Plus, I'm out of warranty, so I had to pay ~$800 for that. I really hate Santa Clara SC

Poll: Will reservation numbers be announced at the reveal 3/31/2016

I hope they announce them, but if the number is really large, it could demotivate people watching the reveal from ordering, if they already know they won't get it until 2019

Deleting inappropriate Supercharger recommendation from route?

I came across a strange situation. I was driving from Sonoma to Morgan Hill, CA. I didn't have enough charge to make the trip in one shot, and knew I'd need to stop in Fremont, however, it kept trying to add another stop ( out of my way) in Petaluma, for 0 Minutes of charge!!! This is when I...

TuneIn Radio - BBC Not Playing

    Question about UMC

May I ask what your reasoning is for having 2 UMCs? Before I bought my car I was considering the same (not wanting to be left stranded anywhere), but after 21 months and 50k miles and a few road trips, I've never found a need to use the UMC outside of my garage.

    Is ChargePoint worth joining?

I have Chargepoint, because, occasionally I forget to plug in overnight, and I can use Chargepoint at work ($1 per hour) I got Blink when I did my roadtrip to San Diego. San Diego Zoo have Blink chargers. That was handy because there are no superchargers in San Diego yet.

    Firmware 6.0

Something I've noticed is that if I'm driving somewhere, and then decide to use navigation. As soon as it calculates a route, it zooms right in. About time to unveil the D and something else

Incorrect, I'd never heard of the term until reading this thread, even though apparently I've owned one for the last 13 years! I'm hoping it's D for deluxe and I can get some upgraded seats retrofitted, but I think the smart money is on Dual motors
  41. S

    Firmware 6.0

I agree. If you zoom out, it does get a little easier, but its not as good as the previous release. I also don't like the way the extended navigation instructions now cover so much of the screen. I really wish we had the option to hide anything other than the next turn By the way: I didn't...

Bigger Phones. If Steve Jobs was still at the helm, you'd not be getting any bigger iPhones than the one you have in your pocket right now. Firmware 6.0 (beta version discussion)

I personally think the calendar feature looks unnecessarily complicated. Just give us integration with something like Google Calendar without requiring a phone app to be alive to manage the syncing. You can always link a calendar to a Bluetooth device if you want to enable some sort of privacy

Bets on When 6.0 Update will be Released...

Why would Tesla want to advertise the fact that not all stores are providing "full" power? This is one of those great ideas that will go on the "never going to happen" list I"m afraid. It's just opening a can of worms.
