where did you see that? i got an email to my tesla app, and seemed like a lot of MCU1/AP1 did (while newer cars didn't i thought). it only mentioned voice commands and text messages. all i really want is text messages.. after that they can cut me off and i won't mind

elon could of meant its 2k more than MCU cost.. so more like 2k in labor/harnesses to convert and 2k for MCU itself(per normal cost). not sure 4k is worth it but does lines up with his sentiment in that recent tweet

for me it started with 36.2.1.. coinciding with scheduled departure. i live in san diego.. it has yet to get below 40F this year ever. my non data backed impression is cold soaks at 55F or below is when i get limited regen given all the highs and lows I've been experiencing compared to yellow...

for me it was 36.2 that did this, when scheduled charging arrived. here the overnight low is about 50F/10C this time of year and im getting 4 yellow dashes every day now in the morning. on rainy days where the high doesn't get above 60 it will also be there in the evening when i go home.

also san diego.. it may come from a place of privilege but feels odd that any sort of cold weather protection would need to kick in here, ever :)

as posters above said.. tesla has been, since August 2019.. removing FUSC on all model years in their own used inventory. for example, i bought a 2016 90D two months ago, from tesla, and i have pay per use supercharging.

bought my 2016 90D in october 2019.. logging in to my account, my premium connectivity expires 12 months from my purchase date so oct, 2020. so, at least getting full year of it unlike some posting here. they aren't getting $10 a month from me... doesn't make sense for a MCU1 car especially...

concur about the high sides sucking. we have 3 cars now.. me-model S, wife-Rav4 and my 2004 tacoma solely for yard / house projects. tree trimmings and dirt for garden, dump runs.. was hoping to maybe move model S over to my wife and me a tesla truck and get rid of rav4 and tacoma but on top...

this seems like Teslas view as well.. like they hate trucks, but made one anyway not realizing what's appealing about them at all. i.e., not being able to access the bed from the side due to the high walls.. to me, it isn't even a truck at that point

practical is going go be highly dependent on your application. given the high sides of the bed you can't access or load stuff in the bed except from the tail gate end. making it closer to a moving van with less enclosed space vs standard pick-up bed

FWIW.. Watching my center window energy meter the 'rated range' line is very close to 294 Wh/mi on my 90D .. that's when the dotted line (my average) disappears and just a single solid line for rated range. 285 would show dotted line and a rated range line.

i just bought mine used, an August 2016 battery date with 35k miles and get exactly the same.. 274 rated range@ 100%. ideal range is like 310 fwiw. i bought it that way though so cool with it. hopefully somewhat stable from here.

So I had selected Kearny Mesa as delivery center for a used model S but was just told that kearny mesa packed up shop and moved everything to Carlsbad. I don't know if that is both the service and delivery center, or just the delivery center part as we were only talking about delivery

yes when I clicked request callback, buried in the semi generic email was where the car was located. i already knew it wasnt in California though cause ev-cpo lets you filter on California HOV eligible.. no California cars will be eligible because previous owner already got HOV benefit.
