I'm right there with you, IMO -- I've been involved in free and open source software for over two decades and how closed the Tesla ecosystem is makes me sad.

But bad faith is them actually attempting to deceive, or mislead us, and they are not doing that, which is my basis. I do agree with you about a random and inconsistent approach, which is maddening.

I don't think it's fair to assume bad faith -- I think they're overwhelmed and overworked. But I do agree they had 3.5 years to plan for this, and the experience with how it worked in other regions.
