    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

You can rotate the right scroll wheel to change the set speed. A 'long' spin will change it by 5km/h increments, short will go up and down by one. There are also + and - buttons next to the cruise control speed in the circle. Once road works are cleared, double tap the speed indicator on the...

The car sticker recommends 42 psi *COLD* pressure. The pressure will increase as the tyres get hot.

I turned on Emissions Testing Mode with my family in the car. My sister was in hysterics, almost to the point of crying with laughter, while my mother was begging me to turn it off.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I'm 191cm, and I can sit in the back behind the driver's seat with it set to my position. It's a tiny bit of a squeeze, so I wouldn't recommend it is done for long, but at a pinch it would be fine.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

As an owner of a P-, right foot to the floor is both terrifying and exhilarating. And probably to the detriment (touch wood) of my license points, addictive.

Bwahahaha. Although I daresay the EV market is going to get rather more crowded, but I welcome the competition, and at the end of the day, one more ICE car off the roads is a victory.

I also have FSD and updates set to 'Advanced', and installed the V10 update (also 2019.32.11) this morning.

Took delivery on my blue P3D- this morning at Alexandria, was so surprised at how many other groups were also waiting for their new Tesla on a Sunday morning. A quick look around the car showed no glaring issues, just about to run through the checklist. Car drives like an absolute dream, with...

Some routers do not allow wireless clients to talk to other wireless clients, so it could be a configuration issue for those that can't ping.

Thanks! I'm going to preempt them and email this off to them tomorrow and then bug them until they say they will action it.

I'm using Origin with my solar thanks to their 21c/kWh feed-in tariff. 28c/kWh peak usage. Back on topic, I've seen the invoice and paid it, but seen nothing about rego at all. Should I be worried?

$993 for a shared common wall between the fuse box and where I want the wall charger.

It's probably quicker to drive, just saying.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, but I did this exact thing today! The invoice is super not clear about which bit is coming from finance and which bit you personally are on the hook for. I transferred what I thought was the correct amount, and ... it wasn't. :( Here's hoping Tesla can refund...

Invoice received after IMO, far too long waiting since the SMS/The Call. Blue P3D- VIN matches my hidden VIN, 13km on the odometer.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Citation needed? I, and I'm certain others here are currently driving cars that are older than 4 years and are still going strong. Personally, I'm going to miss my 2009 Subaru when I trade it in.

My text also asked me to do that, and I also have no actions pending.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I did not receive the call. But I did get an SMS with my delivery details. P3- Blue, 4883xx, 29th of September 9:30am. Wonder why no call?

So we can only purchase 0.8 houses per day? Preposterous! :D

Ah ha. I will admit that was my plan, thank you for the advance notice that I need to make alternative arrangements.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I will note today that while looking up the price rises (also, holy crap, my ordered P3D- is still cheaper than a LR AWD...) that the website still reports estimated delivery as October and for some who haven't got a call, seems a little ambitious. :-)

Model 3 poll- The Tesla stretch

My current car was $27k in 20009 (bought as new, but it was an ex-sales rep car), and like others here I couldn't see myself paying $93k for a car (and yet, here we are!) so I guess the stretch is "only" $66k.

I'm also a hidden 488 VIN, and got an SMS too. Better than the radio silence, at least.

Your quote made me question that -- and now I'm sad at just how much capacity is even *planned* for power generated by burning coal. Mapped: The world’s coal power plants in 2019

My current quote from GIO for my hidden VIN P- is an eye-watering $4,200 per year. I think I need to have another chat to them about not including the performance pack ...

I didn't miss it, I just think this "Us early adopters versus new buyers" mentality has no place in this community.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I'm right there with you, IMO -- I've been involved in free and open source software for over two decades and how closed the Tesla ecosystem is makes me sad.

But bad faith is them actually attempting to deceive, or mislead us, and they are not doing that, which is my basis. I do agree with you about a random and inconsistent approach, which is maddening.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I don't think it's fair to assume bad faith -- I think they're overwhelmed and overworked. But I do agree they had 3.5 years to plan for this, and the experience with how it worked in other regions.

You and me both. I am seriously considering just moving straight into bargaining.

Oh good grief, tell me about it. So many sleepless nights over this purchase. I didn't stress this hard when I was purchasing a house.
