Same! Blue Plaid S with white interior ordered on Feb 20th. Previously it said 3-8 weeks from order placed date, earlier today it said August, and just now it changed to June 1-30.

As others have said, picking up from factory in the middle of pandemic is likely not as fun as we'd hope so I won't look into it for my plaid MX but Roadster is definitely a different story! Hopefully by then things are back to normal.

I have no idea but I'd guess until the original orders are delivered. If your budget is 150k might as well invest some in Tesla and then get yourself a new roadster when time comes!

I did it to my mom's car multiple times in the same day. I also, when parked on a small hill, put the car into drive but forgot to put the key in. After some panic of "why am I rolling???" I realized. I then forgot to take the key out. Tesla spoils us!

Elon has said that the founders series will have the SpaceX package option by default, and since founders are first 1000 then I assume it would be available. But maybe they will give the founders series owners a choice between first 1000 or "free" SpaceX.

It would be highly hypocritical for a company that is all about the environment to use a product that kills animals. It is almost guaranteed that they will not change this for the CT.

Tesla has three other vehicles besides the 3! Also 5-7k is still a hefty price that, in my opinion, wouldn't necessarily be worth the extra 20 EPA miles.

I don't see battery upgrades happening. IIRC they have said in the past that battery swaps would cost around 15k. I think they are working on battery chemistry/density/manufacturing rather than ways to decrease the cost of battery switching.

Then that would eat into roadster sales! I don't think the plaid S/X is going to influence the speed of the model 3 as the goal is for that to be the entry level car. If they want to increase speed they might have to add hardware which will make the price go up, which is not what they want.

This was all very well said! Thanks so much! They are definitely worried that the Roadster won't have as much front crumple room as a MS or M3, but I believe the safety of the driver and the safety features built into the car can combat that. We wouldn't get the SpaceX package :P

I am in the process of convincing my parents to reserve a next gen Roadster but they are unsure of the safety. I know there isn't any data or ratings yet but I thought some people here might have some opinions. I assume Tesla will stick with their top of the top safety as with their other cars...

After months of being pushed back my 2017 MX 100D has finally gotten the FSD and MCU upgrades completed! Too bad I won't be with him anytime in the near future to see how they are! But I assume they will be great!

Mine kept getting pushed back due to lack of parts and then finally once the parts were available I had to push it back due to scheduling issues. I'm concerned now that they will give the parts to another vehicle and have me waiting again.

Glad you found it! In my opinion, the MCU2 upgrade is worth it for the faster responses and the extra "party tricks" (theatre, games, etc.) However, I understand why people would opt not to get it if all that they miss is a few cones!

I've seen some people say they do see those visualizations with MCU1 and some people say they don't, but if it is true that MCU1 gets limited visualizations you will have to turn them on in the menu.
