    CAV Decal 2020

As noted previously, put the stickers on a piece of PPF, and then apply the PPF to the car. Works great. And easy to take off/reposition later if you want to.

Black headliner plastic trim part numbers?

Does anyone know if there are different part numbers for the black/grey plastic headliner bits from early model 3's with the alcantara headliner? Looking at the Tesla parts catalog, I don't see any part numbers differentiating between the beige and black? It seems to me these must exist, but I...

Cannot login to YouTube using Tesla Browser

I work at Google, been there 13 years as an engineer and Eng Mgr, and I have a very good understanding of how SSO works. I'm not an idiot. I'm not trying to protect my stuff from the government, Google, Tesla, Elon, or anyone else that has a million other ways to try and get that info. I just...

Cannot login to YouTube using Tesla Browser

I don't see how that's the least bit relevant to my question. My employer already has full access to my phone and accounts, and I'm not the least bit concerned about the government accessing it either. I have literally zero problem with that. I do, like most people, take steps to prevent my...

Cannot login to YouTube using Tesla Browser

Is there a supported way to log in to YouTube only, without logging into your Google account generally? I would really prefer not to give everyone with access to the car access to my Gmail account as well.

Wrapped the inside of my steering wheel matte white

Good eye! No, I didn't. The white is simply the white cardboard overlay that came with it in the original box. I much prefer the white, but ultimately removed it because my phone slid around too much and would slide out of place with it on. The black mat has a rubberized texture which prevents...

    Tesla 3 Performance v. Porsche 911 4S

I doubt many people are cross shopping a Model 3 and a Turbo S. Looking forward to the eventual new Roadster and Turbo S comparos though.

    Tesla 3 Performance v. Porsche 911 4S

M3P and Porsche 911 GTS (997) owner here. They are both great cars. The Porsche wins hands down on luxury and build quality. I would so gladly have paid another $10-20k for a more premium interior on the Model 3. I don’t find the interior on the S or X premium either. I’m sure at some point in...

    Tesla 3 Performance v. Porsche 911 4S

Amazed you got 49,000 miles out of a set of MPS4S!! Michelin only warrants them to 30k. I also have them in a staggered setup on my 911 GTS. Michelin only warrants them to 15k on staggered setups, and mine are usually done after 12-15k. They start getting noisy around 8-10k. Amazing tire...

Likelyhood of bending 20 inch performance wheels

Let's agree to disagree on whether the Model 3 (which is available in various trims with 18, 19, or 20 inch rims) has a significantly higher GVWR than other vehicles in its class such as the BMW 4 series/M4 (which is also available in various trims with 18, 19, or 20) rims. I'll concede that if...

Likelyhood of bending 20 inch performance wheels

And the GVWR of a BMW 430 AWD convertible is 4971 and a 7 series is 5897 lbs. Again, Tesla rim/tire packages are no worse than any other brand. Spamming the thread with a dozen cherry picked anecdotes is adding 0 value to the discussion.

Likelyhood of bending 20 inch performance wheels

Almost no manufactures equip their cars with Forged wheels, because they are insanely expensive. Even Porsche only includes forged wheels on their highest end versions of the 911 (Turbo and GT3). None of the examples I quoted above had any rim damage. It was all tire damage. News flash...

    New Car Protection Costs

PPF will give you far more protection than ceramic. I recommend getting as much of the car covered in PPF as you're comfortable with budget wise. There's some marginal benefit in applying ceramic over PPF, but it's certainly not necessary. That said, if you can't wrap the whole car in PPF...

Yep. I also used the 3M matte white, and agree it's a perfect match.

    Did i go overboard ...

Oh, if it includes all of that plus window tints, and interior ceramic, $6k sounds about right for a fully custom wrap from a well regarded shop. All of that would probably be $2-4k higher in the Bay Area (which, I'll admit, is insane. I also know that some people have found better deals at...

    Did i go overboard ...

I'm in the pro-PPF camp. I tend to buy my cars to keep forever. Within a few weeks of getting my M3P there was no doubt in my mind that I'd be keeping it for a long time. My cars get parked outside the majority of the time. Clean, flawless, glossy paint brings me joy. I hate seeing even minor...

New Track Mode v2 and Track pack!?!?

My expectation is that it will be pushed out like a regular update. My HOPE is that it will be free to Performance models, but $5000 for stealth models, thus bringing all the stupid trolling about "boat anchor wheels" to a halt. :p

Wrapped the inside of my steering wheel matte white

I wrapped. Messed it up the first time, and took a little while to get right, but I have no prior experience with wraps, and it really wasn't too bad. Not a model airplane wing, it's a windshield sun shade.

Wrapped the inside of my steering wheel matte white

I'm trying to do this, but am having trouble removing the steering wheel. I watched all the videos, and it seems simple enough. I pressed in with Allen wrenches on both sides, and the airbag pops loose just as in the videos, but I can't seem to pull it out from there. It looks like it just lifts...

    Racing stripes on model 3?

Technically, both the red calibers and spoiler slow you down more, so they are probably negative HP. :)

    Racing stripes on model 3?

I like the Tsportline stripes, even if it does feel a like Faurrari to me. Maybe @ppower would be interested. :)

    Racing stripes on model 3?

I think a fun way to do stripes on an electric vehicle would be to do them as lightening bolts. Some very quirk and dirty mockups for inspiration.

Wrap for steering wheel silver side trim pieces?

Does anyone know of anyone that is making a wrap for the silver trim pieces on the side and top back of the steering wheel? Any Suggestion for Center Console Wrap?

I just installed the EV Armour Carbon White console wrap, and I like it. It does make any minor misalignment of the consoles covers more apparent, which bothers my OCD, But overall I think it's a net win. I akesthink it makes the premium white interior better overall.
