Well, my thought was that maybe they were trying to make the software the same across the S, X, and 3. Many of the Ss didn't have the B pillar cameras, but most of them have the front facing, repeater, and rear cameras - that was my hypothesis anyway.

Its effectively a defect or issue, not expected behavior. I don't know if an actual cause has been determined, but the vehicle isn't supposed to 'thump' while supercharging. Ergo, its not normal behavior.

That's a good point - they offer some white options, but I don't believe they are a pearl finish. I went with black on mine since I was blacking out the chrome instead of going for a body color finish. The ones you posted are probably a better choice if you're looking for body matching.

That's weird, they do look different on the Amazon page than what you have installed. I definitely prefer the style like you have installed since it doesn't cover any of the outside facing painted surface on the fender.

My understanding is that they are almost always offered as dealer installed addons. Some manufacturers may offer them as factory installed addons, but its very rare for them to be equipped as standard.

Is there a reason to think these are significantly better than TSolutions' offering? (Tesla Parts and Accessories - Products) I know a lot of people here picked these up with a group order, and they offer flaps for all 4 corners, all for a lower cost point. Seems like a better value to me.

Unfortunately that's all too common with things on the Amazon marketplace in particular these days. Always gotta try and lookup the company to see that its actually a quality product you want to purchase, or take the risk that its some cheap knockoff product that will fail early or under perform.
