    Help! Apple Music Login Issue

Scrolling through albums in the library. I haven’t figured out how to search my library. The search seems like a cross-platform function (e.g., includes Spotify) and doesn’t allow for searching in one’s personal library, but maybe I’m missing something?

    Help! Apple Music Login Issue

If you have an Apple Music subscription and ITunes Match, then you will, in some cases, see your matched music. I see it in ”recently added” and in playlists that have matched music. I don’t see matched music in the albums listing though.

Autopilot/Cruise control worse with FSD Beta?

Thanks to all for your comments and advice. I will try cleaning and recalibrating the cameras first.

Autopilot/Cruise control worse with FSD Beta?

As I noted, it is a 2020 Model Y, so I assume it has radar. Regardless, I’m trying to determine if I remove the FSD Beta, will the phantom braking likely continue— is the non-beta software better than the beta software in this regard? I’ve read a lot about phantom braking, but I never had that...

Autopilot/Cruise control worse with FSD Beta?

For a while now since installing the FSD Beta, normal cruise control and autopilot has become unusable because of fairly regular hard braking when there is nothing obvious on the road that would causing it. This occurs on 2- and 4-lane highway driving, often when there are no other cars in sight...

Suggestions best 3-4 season tire for range and quiet

I realize this has had some discussion, but not much that I can find that focuses on these 2 attributes(efficiency and noise level). I’ve seen some EV specific tires, but not much for 19 inch. Goodyear ElectricDrive GT is now available, but no reviews and the marketing materials focus more on...

What’s your main reason for buying a MYLR or MYP

Got an early “stealth” performance. Wanted the fastest model but didn’t want the lowered suspension or the bigger wheels… also didn’t want to give up on range. Seemed like a good (if expensive) compromise at the time. If I was getting a new one, I’d get the LR. (And I’d happily pay more for air...

    Long-term anxiety

I suggest that you get in touch with a psychologist who does cognitive behavioral therapy. It’s a well researched and highly effective methodology that is very effective for the kind of situation you were talking about. Hope you feel better as soon as possible.

    Turn off passenger vent option?

Thanks. It only working for AC might be the answer.

    Turn off passenger vent option?

In July 2020 one of the updates allowed for having the passenger vent not on when nobody is sitting in the passenger seat. In fact, that was the default when you started. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore, and I’m not sure if it’s still possible to turn off the passenger vent...

I’m curious is it’s open now (12/30) as I’ll be driving through there in a day or so. Thanks!

    Tesla Y rattles

I’ve had noises in the back since receiving the car. No real improvement after 4 service visits. I think these are fixable problems, but requires perseverance and expertise, which I think is not typical in their service dept. They seem rushed wanting to get the car out the door. Regardless, it’s...

    EU Market Situation and Outlook

Just a general question for those who have more expertise in this than me. If Europe is ahead of the US in adopting EVs, then is it reasonable look at trends there as a relevant indicator of future Tesla's EV market share in the US? More specifically, there are increasing numbers of relevant EV...

Watch app for Tesla- Apple pulling?

Apple rejects 3rd party Tesla app update as it strictly enforces written consent for third-party API use - 9to5Mac Hope something happens to keep this app in the App Store, it’s very handy- I use it often.

Model Y - back seat's small rattle noise

I've had similar rattles and buzzing sounds coming from the back seats. Seems to be on the passenger side, not coming from the headrests, dropping the seats helps but not 100%. I've had 3 service visits (one mobile) and they've replaced a part, acknowledged the problem, but seem unable (or...

    Free Supercharging/SC Question

Wondering if service was able to correct the rattling in the back. I’ve had 3 visits to fix that, and while they were able to remove a rubbing sound, the rattle is still there.

Fixed all my rattles from the rear seat and hatch!

Was wondering if this was ever fixed?

    Heat pump acoustic cover

Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like most agree it reduces the noise level.

    Heat pump acoustic cover

Can you reliably tell the difference between having the cover or not? I have an early build and don’t have the cover, and while I hear a variety of noises in the car (e.g., back seat rubbing, wind noise at highway speeds) that I’m trying to get addressed, I’m not sure if I hear anything from the...

    Fix for rear seat buzzing?

Like others, my rear seats have a fairly and loud buzzing noise. It seems to be a result of the seats rubbing against each other. Putting the seats down or putting in a towel between the seats quiets the noise. When I took it in along they identified the problem and said it was a known issue and...

    To FSD or not..

I just did a close to 2k-mile round trip in the MY— each half was completed in one day to avoid staying in a hotel, and took about 15 hours, including charging. All highway. Without the self driving, this would have been exhausting and a much more difficult trip. With self driving, it was...

Screen freezing, AC blasting, sound-off glitch

Probably! version 2020.20.12 I tried to get them to push me an update or re-upload the current version, but they wouldn't do it without making an appointment, which I'll do when I get a chance if there isn't an update soon.

Screen freezing, AC blasting, sound-off glitch

I have a new issue since the last software update. After turning on the music or radio, the sound glitches and then all of the sound goes off (e.g., blinkers) and the screen freezes. In addition, the AC starts blasting. I cannot do anything on the screen, no touch input registers. A screen or...

First impressions: Y vs Macan S

Stealth Performance. Further update after more miles with the Y: Well, I must say that the Y is hard to beat. The ability to control its speed, acceleration and deceleration make it a joy to drive and really changes the driver experience (I love one peddle driving). With more miles, I can also...

Cancelled Y Reservation for S. Any disadvantages over MY?

I own a Y and have demoed an S and a 3. The 3 and the Y seem more nimble in terms of handling due to their smaller size, the S felt a bit more like a big sedan (which, of course, it is). However, the S was definitely a smoother ride. Both are great, depends on what you want to maximize.

First impressions: Y vs Macan S

I’ve put more miles on the Y and my initial impressions generally hold. The Y is a great car, fun to drive, and very practical for an EV. The Macan just shows Porsche’s pedigree as both sports car and luxury auto maker. For example, the fit and finish are far better. As a 3-year-old car, the...

First impressions: Y vs Macan S

I don't recall all of the items/price of the Macan S. But the two significant additions that affect driving performance over the base S are air suspension and the Porsche Torque Vectoring (both of which I have), that gets the price to 65k. I also think you are comparing apples to oranges as you...

First impressions: Y vs Macan S

I haven’t put a great deal of mileage on my new Y, but I thought I’d post my initial reactions. My Macan S is a 2017 with air suspension. I like the Y a lot, it’s clearly pointing to the future of cars in so many respects, and the electric motor and instant acceleration make it fun to drive. But...

    Put car on hold

I got to the stage where a VIN was assigned.. then I canceled. Not a $ issue, but a bandwidth one. Just not a good time to focus and enjoy the fun of getting a new toy, and a don’t really need it now. So, I’ll be back when thing settle down!

    MY road noise?

I’d be coming from a 4-year old Porsche Macan- practically no rattles and pretty quiet on the road. Disappointing to hear about your experience, as a lower-to mid priced Macan is about the same price as a performance level model Y.

    Model Y vs 3?

Thanks, this is a helpful concerning range. So, do you not believe that the Model 3 will get a software upgrade to higher range perhaps using new tech that is already reflected in the Ys reported range? I ask because some have suggested that the current 7 mile difference doesn’t seem right given...

    Model Y vs 3?

I have both a Y and a 3 on order and am trying to decide between the two. This will be my first Tesla. Any input from more experienced drivers will be greatly appreciated! Here have 2 questions that will affect my choice: Given the weight and height differences, will the Y feel a bit less agile...

    Anticipated Y handling vs 3

Perhaps a little bit, but it’s not a huge factor as it’s typically just 2 of us and we can put down one of the back seats for the skis.

    Anticipated Y handling vs 3

I am new to EVs but have demoed the 3 and the S. I’ve got a Y on order and am debating which model will make the most sense for me. I am trying to determine whether the Y or the 3 makes the most sense. I live in Denver and go skiing in the mnts fairly often (200 mile round trip), so driving in...
