    Media Input Issue

Yes! I got 2022.16.3 and the issue seems to be resolved.

    Media Input Issue

Just got 2022.16.1.2 and it’s still bugged. Sigh.

    Media Input Issue

Just updated to 2022.16.1.1 on my 2020 MS LR+. This morning when I was trying to go through the radio favorites, the steering wheel forward and backward key would change the input to spotify and start playing an album, instead of moving to the next station. I did a soft reset and it persisted...

Front hood adjustment, wind noise and vibration

I have had it in the SC 3 times and they keep claiming that they feel nothing, but they keep rebalancing the tires (or trying), redid the alignment, and then replaced 2 tires... all for free. Seems a little strange to me that they would do all that if they didn't think there was a problem. So...

Front hood adjustment, wind noise and vibration

I have a 2020 MS LR+. I have been trouble shooting various rattles and vibrations since I got the car. I was FINALLY able to get the service center to replace two of the tires since they were horribly out of round and could not be balanced at the SC or an independent shop. There is still some...

Quick reference to resolving pulsating air issue cause by liftgate

Does anyone know if a similar issue exists with the hood in the front? There are these same four adjustments and I am wondering how they should be properly aligned. Are they just for straightening of the panel gaps or is there an appropriate way to set them?

Side View Mirrors Auto Fold - Strange Behavior

Well this morning they were both open... so at least they're being consistent... Glad to know it's just another "feature" and nothing to worry about. Take the good with the bad.

Side View Mirrors Auto Fold - Strange Behavior

I have my 2020 MS LR+ set to autofold mirrors based on location for my home garage. It works perfectly, folding before I reach the garage. I then plug in and close the garage. Now for the strange part. Every morning for the last 2 weeks I have come out and the passenger mirror has folded back...

Model S Long Range Plus - 390 miles (Model X upgraded, too)

My 100% is now reading 401 miles as of 2020.24.6.1!

2020 Model S Compatible Floor Mats

I have a 3/2020 build model S and I couldn't get the maxpiders to seat correctly. The front mats were passable, but the rear did not fit at all! I think there may be different revisions of the mats out there, but impossible to know which ones you are ordering. I tried a couple different sets...

That’s fantastic! I know you were stressed about this especially with all the conflicting information. Hope you enjoy your car!

Receiving and replying to text messages with 2020.8.1.1

Did you see any range change with the 8.1.1? I know there are reports of people gettting the change to LR+ and the range update with this version.

    How do you decide? Regrets?

So thank you everyone. After weeks of decision paralysis I put my order in tonight for the LR+ in midnight silver metallic with the sonic carbon slipstream 19" wheels. Oh my did I want to upgrade to the performance, but practicality for range and "common sense" when it came to speed, won out...

New Software Diff 2020.4.2 thru 2020.4.11

    Seems like it changed over time. From the Wiki: Decoding Tesla Model S VINs Digit 7, Charger Type (2012-2013) / Battery Type (2014-2015) / Fuel Type (2015+): A = 10kw Charger B = 20kw Charger C = 10kw Charger, w/DC Fast Charge D = 20kw Charger, w/DC Fast Charge H = Lithium - Ion Battery - High...

New Software Diff 2020.4.2 thru 2020.4.11

So I'm pretty sure that the "E" in the older VINs is just coincidence. It's for "electric" and not the E battery. If you look at VINs from previous model years it looks like the 7th space is always "E" or "H". When I put an old VIN like (5YJSA1H13EFP60439) into VIN Decoder | TeslaTap it says the...

Call from Tesla for new 400 mile range

So did anyone go to this event or hear anything about it?

Call from Tesla for new 400 mile range

Probably a better use of your time :) Was planning on the sonic carbon slipstreams anyway so I’m safe from those shockingly ugly hubcaps.

Call from Tesla for new 400 mile range

So are you going today? What time is the event? I am on the verge of putting my order in and I’m very curious to see what comes out of this event today.

Buy vs Lease - Detail Included

I have been thinking about the lease/buy scenario as well. But, I think you need to take into account that the starting price for the 2017-18 performance models were a lot higher than they currently are. I think there is more depreciation than you are calculating. The 2018 P100D cost about 140k...

Call from Tesla for new 400 mile range

That's just ridiculous! What explanation did they give you? If you think it was built around 2/4 that would have been within two weeks of the announcement of the LR+... I thought the whole idea was that these cars were already being manufactured and it was just a naming update. This would seem...

    HELP !! Pricing inconsistent.

I agree the number is exactly the same. Just the itemized list has it broken out in a bizarre manner. The difference is still 20k. Though with tax it will be more. The "with potential savings" thing is deceptive I agree, but it's also clearly stated that there are two prices there...

    How do you decide? Regrets?

Having leased from BMW in the past I had sworn to never lease again... they just nickle and dime you everywhere. Does anyone have any experience with Tesla especially things like wear and tear? Turn in charges? I like the idea of being able to own the car and modify it if I see fit without worry...

    How do you decide? Regrets?

This is the thing that I think sums it up best. I really am leaning toward the LR+. I also am very curious to see what these announcements that are coming this weekend will bring regarding 400 mile range and the new software updates. This is obviously on purpose. This is the one feature that...

    How do you decide? Regrets?

That's true, but on ramps, off ramps, passing, merging, overtaking... that's where power comes in to play. More so than driving from traffic light to traffic light. I guess what you're saying is that the LR would keep up fine in all of those situations. I can see how the head snapping...

    How do you decide? Regrets?

Where do you find that the extra power really shines? Do you feel it in everyday driving or is it really limited to wide open throttle driving - red lights, on/off ramps... I mean I won't be at the track or drag strip any time in the foreseeable future.
  26. Bubba9

    How do you decide? Regrets?

Yes, I just had to say it in way too many words :) You're right and honestly compared to times in the past when it was 30-40k gap between models I wouldn't have even questioned it. But 20k seems to be that seductive sweet spot... I have the cash, but I could always find something else to spend...

    How do you decide? Regrets?

I have been lurking these forums for a while and I think I've made the decision to bite the bullet and go with a MS. I crossed off the 3 and Y since we need the bigger back seat for 3 kids and my wife hates the Model X - doors mostly. I was able to test drive both the Long Range and the...
