Yup. Car was done until the software update hit.

car is broke after holiday update anyone else have issues?

The problem to there is getting the SC to communicate in advance of the appointment, a seemingly impossible task.

car is broke after holiday update anyone else have issues?

Dude I have the same problem with my '22 MS. Holiday update killed it. Scheduled an appt with the SC but have to wait until the 30th. Really hoping the car will survive the 20min highway drive there. Bloody frustrating. Ugh.

Refreshed Model S - rear seat rattle

No tape. I assumed that would be mandatory but figured it wouldn‘t hurt to try. To be fair, I only drove it for 20 min this morning, but over some very uneven and bumpy roads and the rattle was 100% gone. Will be interesting to see if this stands the test of the time.

Refreshed Model S - rear seat rattle

Holy crap. Tried it this morning (gentle-but-firm closing of the right rear seat) and it totally worked. Rattle gone. Mind blown.

Glass roof sunshade for refresh Model S?

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the 1-piece solution. Sags like crazy and the magnet "fix" is crap. The 2-piece for the Y was perfect, zero sag and no shuffling sound when using the extra reflective layer.

Glass roof sunshade for refresh Model S?

As a bald-headed-dude, I'm pretty sensitive to sunlight and warmth coming through the glass ceiling of my '22 Model S, even with extra tint applied. I had the same issue with my '20 MYP (RIP) and solved it nicely with a 2-piece sunshade from Amazon after first trying (and ditching) a 1-piece...

    Accelerator pedal stiffness?

Closing the loop on this - the 2022 I bought from out of state felt 100% normal. Looks like the S i'd originally test driven had some sort of issue or needed some lube/maintenance/whatever. Yay!

Upgrade from Model Y to Model S Worth IT?

My 2020 MYP was totaled a couple weeks ago and I just picked up a 2022 MS LR this weekend. Initial impressions: Holy hell the MS suspension is smooth. One of my biggest complaints in the MYP was ride quality (even after switching to 19” wheels in the MYP with lots of extra, non-stretched tire...

    Accelerator pedal stiffness?

Thanks. Could very well be the one I drove needs some maintenance or adjustment. I'm heading out of state to buy a '22 S on Tuesday (the MYP was totaled a couple weeks back) so I'll have another data point soon!

    Accelerator pedal stiffness?

After owning a 2020 Model Y Perf since they were first released, I finally drove a 2021 Model S. Was it my imagination, or is the accelerator pedal in the Model S considerably more stiff? The pedal in the Model Y has been absolutely dreamy, making the who one-pedal-driving experience second...

Conti DWS 06+ vs Pirelli AS+ 3 AS

I’m getting ready to permanently swap out my 21” uberturbines for relatively lightweight square setup of 19x8.5 wheels and 255/45 tires. My goal is better ride quality and a quieter ride. I know the DWS06 conti’s are really popular with the MY/M3 crowd but I don’t get the sense ride...

Continental DWS ExtremeContact DWS 06+ vs Pirelli P7 AS Plus 3?

Doh, just realized I posted this in the wrong place. Please ignore, doesn’t look like I can delete… will repost.

Vendor Show Off Your Aftermarket Model Y Wheels

Get 'em yet? I'm dying to see some pictures. Your sizing arrangement is precisely what I'm thinking of when I ditch the uberturbines.

    Model Y hood gap?

Thanks for the tip! Looks like that might have helped a little bit, but the adjustable nubs aren't long enough to make it 100% better. I wonder if longer versions exist?

    Model Y hood gap?

Hey peeps. I just took deliver of my Modely Y Perf today. It's amazing. That said, it looks like the alignment/gap of the hood and front bumper aren't great along the very front. Anyone else have a similar funky gap?

Anyone from Southern California given a VIN or taken delivery of a Performance Pearl White MY yet?

Nope, black interior. I wear jeans all the damn time and have two kids. Even if I -could- wipe the white material and get stuff off, I'd be stressed about it all the time. Too bad, too. The white interior is freaking sweet. Also, man, the seats are COMFORTABLE. Way better than I expected.

Anyone from Southern California given a VIN or taken delivery of a Performance Pearl White MY yet?

I've noticed two things so far: 1) scratches/gouges smack in the middle of the piano-black middle storage compartment. Should be simple to report/replace. 2) the front of the hood doesn't 100% line up with the body work, you can kinda see it in the picture. Not sure if this is a problem or...

Anyone from Southern California given a VIN or taken delivery of a Performance Pearl White MY yet?

Same here, my VIN materialized in the page source this afternoon: 33XX. White on Black, Ubers, no FSD. Bay Area, Cali, only ordered on 3/8/20! So freaking stoked.
