Accelerator pedal stiffness?

After owning a 2020 Model Y Perf since they were first released, I finally drove a 2021 Model S. Was it my imagination, or is the accelerator pedal in the Model S considerably more stiff? The pedal in the Model Y has been absolutely dreamy, making the who one-pedal-driving experience second nature in minutes. In the S, it felt like the range of motion was decreased stiffness was increased. Am I nuts?

I have only driven my 2020 S Long Range Plus, and have not noticed any issues. You'd think a Y and an S would be pretty close to the same stiffness and range of motion.

I had a 3,X and S and never noticed anything that stood out.

I’d try another similar vintage S for another data point in case yours has an issue.

Thanks. Could very well be the one I drove needs some maintenance or adjustment. I'm heading out of state to buy a '22 S on Tuesday (the MYP was totaled a couple weeks back) so I'll have another data point soon!

Closing the loop on this - the 2022 I bought from out of state felt 100% normal. Looks like the S i'd originally test driven had some sort of issue or needed some lube/maintenance/whatever. Yay!

I changed mine. It's a Ford pedal assy. Very cheap. Took 30 minutes to replace.

I just got a Model 3 RWD and I do find the pedal pretty stiff. Makes the car seem a little slower unless you really press the pedal pretty hard. But then it gets nice and fast.
