Anybody has issue with the dash display like this?

I've got the same thing, so probably a bug and not an issue with your installation.

    2021.32.x

I just received 32.10 overnight and now I don't have any number/scale on my Energy usage gauge while driving. I get the orange "slider" if you will when accelerating and green when regenerating, but there is no scale around the outside of the gauge. Anybody else?

Anyone use this Romex 6/3 cable during install?

I got all of my materials from these guys, including the cable and connectors, which given your location may make sense. If shipping is high you can consider a higher price/ft from these guys vs. the online lower price...depends on the distance you need to run. Tightly bending the 6/2 MC is...

Vendor Rear Adjustable Camber Bushings for Model S/X Group Buy

Mystery solved. @N2itive had it right. It wasn't the alignment. The camber arm bushings failed completely. Needless to say I'm not impressed after only 9 months.

Vendor Rear Adjustable Camber Bushings for Model S/X Group Buy

Following up for completeness... Had the realignment done. Camber had drifted back to -2.3 and toe was 0.28. Not sure if I still believe that is enough to cause that much wear, but those were the numbers. More concerning is now that it has been realigned (not by Tesla because of the...

Vendor Rear Adjustable Camber Bushings for Model S/X Group Buy

Thanks for the responses. To answer the remaining question, the car isn't lowered. I certainly hope the bushings aren't shot after such a short time, but I guess this is the kind of feedback I'm looking for. Is this something that can be visually determined by looking at the installed arms...

Vendor Rear Adjustable Camber Bushings for Model S/X Group Buy

Thanks for the response. Aligned in Standard, driven in Low per the Electrified Garage procedure (they did the arm installation and alignment). Their recommended toe was +0.2, so that's what it had, at least back then.

Vendor Rear Adjustable Camber Bushings for Model S/X Group Buy

Thanks for the responses. I didn't install toe arms as the EV Tuning guys said it was unnecessary, but had the EV Tuning guys adjust the toe to the "appropriate spec (+0.20) for what I was trying to do (extend tire life)". Yes, my S has a rear motor...a rather large one actually :). To be...

Vendor Rear Adjustable Camber Bushings for Model S/X Group Buy

Has anybody seen in the forum any discussion of actual experience using these arms, e.g., tire mileage after installation, etc.? I'll offer mine in hopes of getting others. I installed the EV Tuning arms and had them do the alignment to -1.0 camber in the rear back in September. 9 months...

    Raven Tire Wear Observation

Even wear suggests it's not an alignment problem, but perhaps more of heavy foot. Driving a Tesla is a thrill, but hard starts and stops eats the tires. Good luck with the new ones.
  11. Pluturi

    Raven Tire Wear Observation

Definitely want to have alignment checked. How the tires are actually worn will indicate potential solutions, i.e., insides worn but rest OK vs. uniform wear require different solutions. In terms of tires, it is more about temperature than snowfall. Summer tires are dangerous below 40F...

Wall Connector cannot be configured on this network

Yes, this is consistent across lots of people. I don’t think it impacted the actual capabilities of the wall connector; just your ability to see the summary page from a web browser. We’ll see, but likely it was deliberate to force people to access the wall connector through the documented...

High cost of charging according to TeslaFi?

OP - Not sure that you got an answer to your question as the thread went a little off topic... I have an S, so the absolute values are higher in any case. I also have a HPWC and Supercharged a lot in this time frame as explained below which has some beneficial effect on the overall efficiency...

Tesla wall connector gen3 overheating fix

Vendor Rear Adjustable Camber Bushings for Model S/X Group Buy

I drove cross country RT and it felt perfect. I think the only thing to be cautious of is the suspension height when aligning as not too many shops are familiar with that ability in MS. When I suggested aligning in Low as that's where I intended to run, Electrified Garage was adamant that it...

I had my EV Tuning arms installed by Electrified Garage. These are the specs and results of where they put mine.

Vendor Rear Adjustable Camber Bushings for Model S/X Group Buy

FWIW, my tech suggested that if your goal is to minimize tire wear while running in Low the majority of the time, have it aligned at Standard height per the procedure and aim for -1.0 as it will get a little worse when you move to Low.

Vendor Scan My Tesla, a CANBUS reader for Android

That is one interpretation, but in this context I think they are just warning people that some third-party apps keep the car awake, which drains the battery.

    Tire inflator Rec?

FYI, it does auto-stop; it just waits until it gets to 0.5 psi above what you set, e.g., 45.5.

Using SMT "nominal full pack" to figure degradation?

Nominal full pack is also available from ABetterRoutePlanner if that’s all you want. Scan My Tesla gives you a ton of information, but requires some additional hardware for your car.

21” to 19” wheel swap without Geo setup

Yes, you'll need to let the car know that you've changed sizes if you want energy calcs, etc. to be correct. If you forget, it will "detect" that you've changed wheel sizes and tell you to go into the menu and change it. Look under the Service tab on the main screen. There is a button labeled...

21” to 19” wheel swap without Geo setup

I don’t know what a Geo setup is, but I’ve swapped wheels as described and only needed to change the Wheel Configuration in the menu, Obviously there are only Tesla OEM options available in that menu, so would probably have to do more for third party wheels with significant differences.

    WTB - Gen 2 NEMA 14-50 adapter

Need to travel on short notice and want to have this adapter with me just in case. Tesla only ships by ground which won't make it to NY in time. Looking for somebody who wants to sell one in good shape that will expedite shipping in the next day or two. Need by Saturday 10/3/20.

Gen 3 Wall Connector 3 red blinks fault code

My gut reaction is no, it is not normal, but to be honest I've only charged to 100% myself once. It stayed at 48A all the way to 99% and tapered down after that.

Gen 3 Wall Connector 3 red blinks fault code

To add some clarity to the above posts for future readers... It is the call to Tesla and the conversation which encourages them to push the latest software to your Wall Connector that gets it downloaded, not the flipping of the breaker and waiting 3 hours. Those are necessary steps to get the...

    Sleep & Teslafi

How do I change the change level after charging? Is this a TeslaFi capability?
  29. Pluturi

    Sleep & Teslafi

Mine is similar but worse. After charging the car sleeps for only 10 minutes, then idles for 12 or 16 minutes, then repeats this sleep/idle cycle for many hours during the night, and then goes to sleep for a couple hours at sunrise. It has been this way for a couple weeks at least. I haven’t...

    XPEL Stealth Washing/Care

I can't say enough positive things about XPEL and my installer (Mohawk Collision). I had a full wrap done and I think it looks great! The film does have some hydrophobic qualities, so it is easier to wash/dry even without a ceramic coating. What I'm most impressed with, however, is the...

Gen 3 cord 23 degree temp rise in 10 minutes :(

It’s supposed to come automatically, but if it doesn’t you can call them and get it pushed. For the record, it improved my charging situation as it stayed above 37A for 4 hours of charging. However, it only stayed at 48A for the first 30 minutes.

Home charging now stepping down to 24 amps during the charging session

FYI, I tried mine again last night after getting the new firmware (1.3.0). On the plus side, it maintained 37-40A throughout the entire 4 hours of charging, but as before it only stayed at 48A for the first 30 minutes or so unfortunately.

Glad yours is working well. I tried mine again last night after getting the new firmware (1.3.0). On the plus side, it maintained 37-40A throughout the entire 4 hours of charging, but as before it only stayed at 48A for the first 30 minutes or so unfortunately.

Gen 3 cord 23 degree temp rise in 10 minutes :(

Tesla has pushed 1.3.0 firmware to my Gen 3 HPWC. Here's hoping that it addresses the "phantom" overheating. Obviously it won't do anything for the ones that are really overheating.

    XPEL Stealth Washing/Care

To close the loop... I contacted Chemical Guys, and while they didn’t give me the recipe they did confirm it doesn’t contain petroleum distillates like naphtha or kerosene. Appreciate the discount code!

    Raven Tire Wear Observation

Agree this is not a good idea, but you can always tap Standard once you're on the highway and it will move there for that trip anyway.

    Raven Tire Wear Observation

If your settings for Auto put the car in Low for highway driving, then this kind of wear is pretty normal, if not pretty good considering you got 20K on the rears. The rear camber is quite high when in Low and wears the inner edge even when "in spec". There are other threads out there which...

    XPEL Stealth Washing/Care

Hey XPEL! Can I use Chemical Guys Synthetic Quick Detailer on my Ultimate Plus film? Their website isn’t very informative as to the ingredients and I know the film is sensitive to petroleum distillates. I’m sure yours would be preferable, but I’ve already got theirs. :)

Demystifying the power consumers in my Model S

Curious on specific signals you are using to calculate this. I'm using ScanMyTesla and at 45C/70%SOC it is showing "front drive power max" of 387 and 535 for the "rear drive power max". I can't rationalize this to ~800hp unless there is some math or definitions I don't understand.

I understand your point, but I also want to make sure they actually have it fixed before I get another one. Since you just got yours on Wednesday, please keep us posted on how it performs over the next couple weeks.

My 3 doesn't seem to want to read speed limit signs.

There is a calibration process involved, so an undocumented quantity of driving is required before it will "just start working".

Mine works fine on 2020.36 and later. Other threads have mentioned doing a "window calibration", i.e., roll the windows all the way down and then all the way up. Try it and see if it fixes your erroneous notifications.
